i think it comes down to the stability of your system overall like i play it on a m.2 so it means assets and stuff take a lot less time to load into memory, cpu is also pretty quick and the game is very cpu heavy, it's why it works flawlessly on a xbox series s compared to its close cousin the one X

I shot three cops point blank execution style and got 3 star wanted level immediately. I lost it a minute later when I went around a corner and sat there waiting for cops to come.
They don't chase at all
The game instead waits for you to get a distance away and then spawns them in at your location
If however you don't go far away enough, they spawn in at the first area and they can't see or find you
You drop wanted and they disappear like gad dang ghosts
I walked around Japan Town just being a complete jerk and the cops didn't even care
I was like..."I AM THE ANTI-SMOKING MASCOT! Thou shall not smoke!!"...and I punched everyone smoking, in the face.
It was hilarious for a while
Then it just got sad.
Had one person who crouched down, cigarette in hand scared out of his mind and wouldn't run. So I punch him in the face and shouted "QUIT SMOKING!"
His head jerked back from the blow, and he went back to crouching and smoking
As long as I didn't punch him too fast, it wouldn't kill him, so for 2 mins it was me shouting at some dude crouched down, "QUIT SMOKING!" with a tyson shot to the face, and him responding by crouching down with his cigarette and smoking
I'm tempted to make one of those "this shit is fked videos" just because it's sooooo weird to see.
