Turns out Johnny was a tortoise and if you don't tell his friends that he's mourning a turtle, he commits suicide and they hate themselves....it's fucked up. I completely understand the how and the why. I do believe that solo players who aren't acquainted with what Destiny entails, are at a disadvantage. Because Destiny does require introduction to many aspects of the game that are just not straight forward, not obvious, or even confusing as fuck. Like Warframe, Destiny is most enjoyable when you're introduced to it by a friend. Not defending it. Just stating a somewhat objective opinion from personal experience.

It's more complex than that too, neither are good or bad. Your not an antihero since you're not doing anything wrong, you still play the hero. If you look into the lore neither the light or dark are moral

The complexity of games are going to pretty well insure that will be the case.
Eventually with larger games, no matter how much QA testing you do, you have to release it to the wild to let it mature. The issues then get resolved because at that scale, its more clear which issues will be most common.

For me it only really got that way the more I got into PC games and with the emergence of consoles that could go online.
Prior to that, while console games definitely had bugs that simply couldn't be patched without just issuing reprints, I just didn't experience as many games with critical issues. π€·ββοΈ

I've heard of/seen some dramatic issues even on PC tho, with quest NPCs not appearing where they should, camera bugging out during dialog to look down a bunch, and some of the only workarounds being to restart the game

As for transphobic, man,the setting was brutal in Cyberpunk.They existed, but they were heavily trafficked as well. With the super sexualized environment, they were seen almost as curiosities to be abused heavily. Moxes actually touch on that heavily in that gang. They formed to save the various subgroups. Not just sex workers.
