That said, the marketing has been pretty edgelord nonsense through & through, including on trans identity

What caught my eye in one article was that there's apparently a moment where you meet some person yammering on about stereotypical Japanese stuff, ya can call'em out on it, & they admit it's to con tourists.
Which is something you could see all the way back in Indigo Prophecy as well. So...Fun?
