Tons of graphical customization options, high fidelity, smooth performance, a bit of a wacky intro to the plot but it is framed around a pretty extreme 1984-ish perversion of london. One thing I especially appreciate is auto drive. The ability to just chill, pick a point and let the AI manage the speed and direction while you take in the sights.
I've only recently begun the story, but the controls are solid, gameplay solid. It has a similar feel to Watchdogs 2, but in a much more densely packed environment with more life

London is a series of one way streets and if you're not paying attention to directions on the roads, you'll learn that headon.
The auto drive takes the stress out of getting used to it

Perfect amount of simulation, story and gameplay for me.
Should precise what story means, cause game as is doesn't really have one, there's a world. Rim world. Aka world on the rim. You could say it's a land. That's on the border. Like, some kind of border land. And there's no faster than light travel, so traveling is based around cryosleep and AI personas taking care of well being of everyone during it. Your story will probably begin (as there are different scenarios), during a malfunction of your colony ship, 3 of the colonists of your choice get jettisoned, and crashland on one of the rimworlds, planet that to say the least isn't the best. From there? Build a space ship and get the fuck off the planet.
What happens between start and end is the true meat and bones. Random events, faction interactions, multiple biomes you can crash into, planet in itself being randomly generated, good stuff.

Not like it really does matter, but world building is important.
And I find the world to be fascinating tbh. Humies colonised most of known space, without faster than light space travel.
Just pack a ship full of sleeping colonists, point in the general direction of a planet, and in a century or two they'll get there.
Implications of that, is what you were shot at, could or could not be what you arrive at. Planet can become like literal heaven, can destroy itself, can be settled, devastated by nuclear fire, and regrow again while your ship still pointed at it is just slowly cruisin.
