Today I found a black market wagon trader who will quietly take stolen wagons off my hands and reward me a finders fee

Turns out the finders fee is hardly worth the effort of getting the wagon back to him from where ever it was.

8.5 silver for a whole wagon of crap that was probably worth more if I'd looted it.

I decided to pro-actively put the bad guys (the main antagonist gang) in jail instead of murdering them all in cold blood, so I tackled one, tied him up and put him on my horse to submit to the jail.

My intention was to see justice. I took him to prison and they wouldn't arrest him. The man was wearing all of the colors of the gang. I untied him thinking they'd take care of him then.

Nope. He ran like a wet fart slipping out at a public pool slithing through the city until I caught him again. I tied him up and the city guard all attacked me

So I figured...In for the penny, in for the pound...and I killed them all. There are only two instances where they got me first. The first: Killed by a giant. Those dudes have a one hit kill.

The second, tackled by a soldier and fail the button prompt that comes up.

At the end of my experiment I'd lost all of my contribution points for the city faction and paid out 300 silver.

Afterwards, they let me out of jail without even a lengthy cutscene or harsh words.

It is a mercenary game, not a life sim. The 'sandbox' is about how you interact with the world and the physics during combat. Not whether you can build a house or go to jail for an hour. That would just get in the way of the actual action sandbox fun

and yeah the NPCs and stuff are definitely not top knotch, but it is pretty darn good still for how massive the game world actually is

They did a good job with rendering distance. I can live with most of the issues the game presents. The only issue I can't is ray tracing. The game shouldn't only look good with ray tracing turned on. The minimum requirements didn't say "Must have ray tracing"

So the developers clearly gave Nvidia first priority with the game

The fact they had access to Intel Arc 580 drivers for inclusion in the game way before the game was ever released and that they never included that graphics card in the working drivers list is very telling

and nobody is going to tell me if a 3090 can run this game that an intel b580 can't

That was a shitty move on Pearl Abyss.

I spent a half hour last night fighting my way toward the boss in the perwin quarry. Killed at least 100 enemies. By the time I was able to get in after rescuing all the prisoners, I barely had any heals and the boss was a floating box of death I could barely hit.
