As far as reasons to bring a server down go, that's one of my favorite

I got less then an hour left to test the game before it's no longer eligible for steam refund.

I spent the last hour in character creation...Mostly because I'm picky af and they gave me a ton of options that I could customize. Now the game just bounces me out...The servers say online, but my experience in the game says otherwise.

The problem is, there was no reason to jump back to odyssey to do that story wise. I'm not complaining....I just saw no reason for it beyond filling the lore.

Some of the stuff developers of AC have been doing since Unity have only served to explore the lore, which I get it...Money...but it slowly widdles away the mysticism that makes the story feel grand

I liked the way most of odyssey approached this issue by interweaving it with ancient mythos because I enjoy ancient mythos too, but not the way the story ended in odyssey. (not going to do spoilers)

I wasn't big on ancient norse mythology and ended up gettin valhalla because I wanted god of war and it wasn't available yet and then it was too expensive.

In the end....Valhalla was okay, but it was no god of war.

So my expectations were a little different.

None of Yasuke's missions are designed around parkour, they're pure combat. If you want parkour just play as Naoe for 90% of the game

Finally able to test Quinfall. It's not great. It's not horrible. Four servers ensure at least most of the world is covered for this mmo. I can certainly understand why so many people were banned playing it, given how many people were whining about politics in chat.

I don't know if they'll improve on the game controls but there is a lot to do for someone that doesn't have a top notch computer but wants to try something new. I'm sure there's more good in it than bad, but it's dinner time so 😛

The RP part of the game is almost non-existent. Char creation is good. Community is a disconnected mess of twitch streamers capitalizing on the game being new to get new viewers. Gameplay so far was simple...Reminded me of "Tree of Savior" in terms of how simple combat is.

The twitch comment was largely due to the sheer number of people promoting twitch streams in chat

I don't think the game is bad, but it feels a bit clunky with a community doing nothing to improve it. The new player experience is like registering for a hospital bed.

Feels sterile with a lot of reading

It's on sale now for like $12CAD. That's pretty cheap. I don't think one can go wrong at that price.

One of the boss fights is a robot who loved a piece of shit rich robot who ignored her, so she started cannibalizing other robots and stealing their parts to make herself more beautiful to get his attention. He never acknowledged her, and by the time you find her she's been capturing and killing androids like 2B to use as lures for other androids

Those games have a rather particular style of writing and world building tho, both Nier games + Drakengard games which are also related

I can see how it can be something off-putting to some people.
