Yea the hunters are just as bad, both hunters and stalkers have a buffed up super angry version from the gloom called “predator strain” and if they start attacking you, either kill it, or it will just non stop hound you attacking nonstop until your in pieces lol

The regular variants give you the chance to at least run away and they lose interest

They also explode when killed into a gloom spore cloud so even if you do kill it before it hits you the masters still hurt if there too close anyways

Vintage Story is Minecraft meets Lovecraft and then punches you in the face with one task after another that on the face may feel like a trivial act, but end up being critical to larger projects

Example: Baking clay for a kiln

To make a basic steel sword, you have to make a kiln which requires you to make a system to bake clay to make the forms. Then you need to make prongs to carry them around or you burn yourself....then you have to have a furnace to melt ore, then pour the melted ore into the forms and leave the forms to cool and then bust the clay from the solid weapon...

It's forged steel. Imagine if they adopted stamping

You'd get faster weapons but they'd be weaker durability

(PS they don't have stamping. I used to work in a forge and was just fantasizing)

There are so many subsystems at play in vintage story. I think anyone that loves minecraft now would love Vintage Story.
