Played three hours of Sky: Children of Light. What a weird game.

You communicate primarily by way of whistling grunts and handhold strangers, making friends with button clicks in relationships as tenuous as a wet paper bag; as easily discarded as created.

The puzzles are as basic as they get and are often already solved, since most are community driven puzzles and somehow there are still people running through them

Beautiful art work though

Game plays like the fever dream of a hippy cultist pumped full of ecstacy.

I asked one player in the game what is this game...Their description: Peace....To whit I responded, this is about as peaceful as head trauma.

They talk about making friends. I discard the notion entirely as a mechanic that offers no actual friendship and trivializes the very act of being friendly as some point and click adventure.

I went in expecting a stronger community driven base to the game. Instead, I got whisked away by a showroom style linear gameplay that ran more like a demo for what could've been than a fully fleshed out game idea.

Id still recommend it. It isn't pretending to be anything it's not. The price is right. The art is pretty. It's a chill experience if you have a few hours to burn and just want to drool through a game.

What it lacks in focus it makes up for in presentation.

yea its already hard to recommend with a shit business model they use, let alone, the quality of the "game" they present.

By all means its HIGH QUALITY, extremely detailed, etc. but to the point its almost TOO much. it IS too much for me. just to fly, its a process of steps and checks before even taking off. let alone the conundrum of actually figuring everything out then.

i remember some of the assist settings in it. went from easy mode to i think it was called either "pro" or "realistic" and it basically stopped holding your hand entirely and forced the realism. added weightyness etc. i imagine the new one will do something similar

like the magnetism to rails when going for a grind was EXTREMELY reduced or just off on realism mode

2 was my favorite of em all

1 think 1 had the best ragdoll physics, 2 was a decent upgrade but idk, the impacts on the ground felt a little less thud/impacty. and then in 3 it just feels floaty with all the poses u can do midair

I give gemini the conversion rates and how much space i can contain and be like “alright with this info dump, how many runs do i need to make 200 metal”

Like for spice its 100:1 ratio(sand to melange) atm for conversion and my copter carries 500v, but spice sand is only 0.2, so 2500 spice it’ll tell me 25 spice back, or considering thats easy,

Decided to re-install DCUO and see how things have changed.

All of my characters names were wiped and changed to something that looks done just so they could cycle the names back into circulation

Gameplay sucks ass.

Within moments of logging in I could hear someone's proximity mic picking up every fart and side way glance within eye shot of their mic.

It sounded like they were watching a shitty cooking show while playing, but went afk and left the mic open

Everyone was screaming in the group channel lfg for shit and nobody was doing anything...just "hanging out" near the starting area.
