For me, it was one of the most disappointing endings of any game I ever played...mostly because it never ended. It was just over.

If I went by hours played, skyrim would probably be top for me.

I don't play visual novels. I don't watch them. I don't play dating games. I don't understand what makes them compelling. I do however understand why someone would make a compelling mockery of the whole thing. It's the one punch man of dating visual novels.

The people that play these games take them way too seriously

It unironically serves as a mockery of the genre while offering probably an equally compelling narrative for those who take it too seriously at the same time.

Kind of brilliant in that regard.

The Lost Skies update putting the "disappearing ships" bug priority under the category QoL for fixing really understates how much of an impact losing ones ship has in a game where your primary means of travel between FLOATING ISLANDS is that very ship.

I lost the components once while just trying to BUILD the ship and was so pissed off I uninstalled the game.

The game is not fun enough that eating losses like that can be ignored and then to relegate the issue to a Quality of Life fix is almost insulting

I played an unhealthy amount of Freelancer. Basically no physics, ok story mode. Devolves into space trucking after story mode.
Multiplayer online is much the same, but some custom servers are more interesting. Discovery was a personal favorite ages ago.

E:D is definitely really satisfying for trucking. Approaching planets is properly fear-inducing. Sound design is perfection.

Combat is satisfying if you can get into it, but gearing up is definitely a hassle
