It’s mainly just an issue with the installer. It’s a windows installer for the mod, and expects windows file pathways when installing. Putting in Linux file directories doesn’t work.

AC Shadows is actually feeling pretty good. The cutscenes are well done (imo) the world npcs animation could be better but not too bad. Combat feels decent so far. Very fluid imo. Haven’t got to try parkour really yet

Only thing that sucks is seems like either driver issue or game optimization issue…no matter if I have settings on low or ultra high I get the same fps. Only if I enable upscaling it goes up a little. Shouldn’t be the case for my gpu I don’t think

Honestly, I’d use smaller calibers. They’re really nice for incapacitating suspects instead of outright killing them, which is really useful on missions that have you arrest a specific suspect

How long you think it would take to learn how to make a basic game? I'm thinking of starting the learning process in the hopes of creating a tech demo of my RPG idea.

On paper it's just a room. You walk into the room. There's someone in the room making tea. It's early in the morning and you're returning from somewhere. The demo will be aimed at showcasing the utility of a script built from a large language model to create a virtually unlimited series of deviations in interactions dynamically based on inputs.

If I used a dream dynamic as a ruleset for how the scenario plays out in the room...All I'd need to do would be to set down ground rules for things to not do or say, that would otherwise break the dream and awaken the user (ending the experience).

The idea is to create a barrier on things people could do in the scenario that felt natural for the scenario

Otherwise you'll get half a dozen gonzos from pervistan trying to play out some twisted fantasy

I just got another idea for a game. A narrative musical adventure with musical queues triggered by events. No, the AI generally have a lack of regard for anyone nearby. I was trying to S rank a mission on a farm that had been taken over by a cult. I walked around a corner and started to get shot at, so I took cover. I manage to neutralize the threat but lo and behold, the dumbass shot a nearby unarmed person (also a cult member), forcing me to restart

Sometimes suspects will also just straight up execute hostages even if they can’t see you.

The game’s AI without any mods is absurd though. I have no clue what triggers them to take hostages, but you better have a good reaction time if they do take a hostage. They also have an inhumanly fast reaction time, they can be shot multiple times and still refuse to surrender (or go down, for that matter).

Yea the AI overhaul I have is a night n day difference. In vanilla peeking corners is just impossible as the enemy will somehow just see you instantly and open fire.
The one I have adds like reactionary delays, where you can see em thinking about whether to run, bluff or go hostile. It’s so nice.

Vanilla AI being harder because they’re more bot like isn’t really more fun imo. Granted modded makes it easier, the realism feels better to balance that out

I will say, it makes the missions a bit too easy for my taste. My friend and I S ranked Valley of Dolls without any major problems, which felt a little cheap to me. The only mod I use is No Suppression for SWAT because that blur effect when you’re being shot at doesn’t make anything easier

I think people really like lovecraftian horror, but I'm a little disappointed that every lovecraftian horror themed artistic expression represents the horror as some sort of evil. I think if I ever write a narrative using lovecraft as a theme, I'd explore the horror not as something to be afraid of but to be respected as a fear to be faced without diminishing itself. I didn't play a load of it but the QA team had good feedback.
It got some attention in news because of LEGO Fortnite.
It was interesting but there are a load of bugs they couldn't fix before release which I think still exist.
If you don't mind bugs it's an interesting sandbox LEGO branded game.
It's on sale often and I think it's worth it for that price.
