I think the hover pack will be better for snipers who want to temporarily get out of danger, while the jump pack might be better for heavy armor users or close quarters fighters who want to quickly get away from a fight

As a heavy armor enthusiast, I mostly use the jump pack to make it so I’m not horribly slow when I need to move quickly

Alright, Ubi actually cooked with the stealth gameplay in Shadows. Lighting and movement speed affecting your visibility, being able to prone through grass, crisp as hell assassination animations that change depending on the direction they're facing and whether you're standing or crouched...this shit slaps. And if you set the assassin gameplay difficulty (which is separate from combat difficulty) to Hard enemies actually fuckin look up and spot you at realistic speeds

I've done the tutorial missions for both characters, Naoe is definitely the best one. Yasuke basically plays like Eivor from AC Valhalla, just with more parrying and faster movement

I can and will spend hours doing nothing but learning every little detail about how to stealthily kill everyone in an area without raising any alarms, lol. It's my favorite shit in games, and I can tell I'm gonna doing it a LOT in Shadows with how well they did the Assassin gameplay

The best way to play this is Immersion Mode (all dialogue is native Japanese and Portuguese) with assassin difficulty set to Hard and Guided Exploration turned off so you have to talk to people and actually learn where places are yourself without a bunch of map markers and waypoints

This game was bad but we had very tight deadlines

Plus some people didn't show up to work

I designed that bit of the front end on my notepad, showed it to an artist and a programmer and we slapped it together in a few hours

It was a black screen with two buttons otherwise

I got the menu flow changed too because of pre-empting Nintendo guidelines

Had to do a bit of audio too because the guy didn't show up

One of the level designers gave such little of a shit that he had orcs spawning out of mid air

We stole a feature from Mario Galaxy too and Nintendo had no issues
