Nah, similarly as with colony management you will miss out on a one or two, but at thay point it's pretty minimal thing

Silent drives are op bc they allow you to act first

Then go perks thay allow you for extra movement, you cam fire each gun once so extra maneuverability will get you more use of them

Of something sounds extremely situational then it is amd it's not worth the bother (there is one perk that allows you to shoot one gun twice but under very specific circumstances, not worth it)

There are a couple of specific choices which game gives "Nomos learns faith" flag, not all of them are marked as dogmatic, but otherwise it doesn't impact them that much I belive
one of those with flags is decision about servitors

Games from Owlcat usually have counters, flags and choices that modify them, you endings and consequences are decided depending on those values. Imo pretty cool system as it takes a lot your choices into the account, tho it can lead to situations where someone can be salty in the ends bc you were an ass to them one time despite being friends a whole game for example

I dont like convictions system tbh, now after updates game gives you a lot more points so you dont have to pick every option from your conviction but the way it's done at the root limits roleplay

I think a big part in MH Wilds performing so low for most people is their systems being a little outdated and that this is a very new type of "open concept" thing they've added to wilds

That's how far Astartes are removed from life of not even average imperial citizen but also a lot of quite high ranking officers in Astra Militarum. They are just dudes fighting aliens, usually tyranids or orks. A lot of officers in the Imperial Guard really cares about their soldiers, tho when a typical, no-name Guardsman lives around 15 hours into an engagement it might be difficult for you if you get emotionally invested. You either get numb to loss or you won't make it very far. What we see in stories are active conflicts so a lot of people dies, but that's not the case everywhere in the Imperium. Tho saying that it isn't goes against Imperial propaganda.

Example of someone who would be an iconoclast in 40k is Ciaphas Cain, Hero of the Imperium
Cain enjoys gambling and drinking with his soldiers and even tho he wont say it, he cares about them. He is loyal to the Emperor and the Imperium, but dislikes "Emperor-botherers". Every time Sisters of Battle make an appearance he goes into details how he hates working with them.

Yarrick, another Commissar, showed sympathy towards his soldiers (he went against and Inquisitor for a guy, of ordo hereticus of all things) and even doubt after he executed a guy in a middle of a battle. He killed an officer that lost it and was about to order retreat while they had to stay and win as there was no other option. Yarrick later asks himself if this could be handled differently, if maybe he could bring the guy to his senses somehow.

People in 40k are indoctrinated and live in a grim dark future, but they are still people. Most aren't fanatics. Even a good chunk of fanatics is just trying to cope with their reality

its SUPER in depth at times too. you can own workshops inside of towns youve conquered, smith custom weapons, cravans, bandit raids, etc etc. and yea i think medievel. deff castles lords, knights type of shit lmao

you can keep prisoners, break there moral and eventually recruit them, or even sell them off to towns, OR even put them into cells of castles you own, or dont.

you can keep a few designated "followers" as well amongst your entire army. so you can essentially roleplay an actual family bloodline and such

The only reason Ive stopped playing online multiplayer games, that I really enjoy, in the past was basically because they stopped receiving support
