I’m on a gtx1660 standard, i59400f cpu. 32g ram, and for some reason I use the XeSS 2.1 and I get the best performance from that one. Play on all max, 1080p. Can get 50 ish fps. Pop in is extremely bad but i can ignore that.

Native I get like 23 fps same settings. And with fsr 2.0 I get better performance than the newer fsr 3.0. But the XeSS blows both away for me

Ever since I started playing, my brain associated that small yellow cross as a sign that the item in question was upgradeable, that you could improve it's stats at an NPC or smth.

Tbh item progression is a bit weird in this game. There are items you can find in act 1 that might last you the whole game.

There are also moments where you can get a power spike bc of items you get or the other way around difficulty can also suddenly spike

Speaking of weird difficulty, people have pointed out the game doesn't tell you how hard a space battle is gonna be ahead of time.
Which is especially bad if you're playing permadeath, or the "Grim Darkness" mode

Toughest one for me personally so far was one Murder class cruiser and 2 escorts

Common tactics on unfair difficulty mode is to avoid them completely untill you can get colony project that gives you an NPC Ship as support and better ship equipment

Iirc Jae can get you nice boost to Navy relations, some colony projects do too

I'll find it eventually, I'm sure. Still have Dargonus left to clean up.

Also something I'm glad I read up on, is that navigator points are apparently finite. That you can actually softlock yourself out of content (unless you get a rare warp event that requires a lore check for Cassia)

And it's recommended to make custom warp routes between your colonies and Dargonus.

You know, I’ve been thinking of an idea for allied units in HD2 for quite a while now. My idea is this: basically, allies are meant to supplement the player. You can only have one out at a time, five minute cooldown after they die, but you can order them to do a bunch of different things. They’d take up your secondary slot, so it’s not like you’re sacrificing a stratagem slot or primary weapon, but you’re still losing a useful utility

You could pick from a domesticated Terminid warrior, a reprogrammed bot, a brainwashed illuminate overseer, or a regular SEAF trooper
