Furthermore, game developers better be fucking careful. Even if they win, they lose.

In this industry, developers and publishers having no control over the price of the products they release isn't exactly something they probably want.

I would be surprised if Epic Games didn't intervene to cut this lawsuit off at the knees. A lot of developers use the unreal engine and could lose profits if consumers could sue their publishers for a game price being considered "anti-competitive"

Hell...Being anti-competitive is EA's bread and butter.

Look at Sims games.

They wouldn't call it anti-competitive though. They'd tell you make your own sim game and sell it for less if you want to compete.

Thing is, when choosing to buy a game off another vendor that offers multiple platforms like microsoft, steam, egs and gog, I regularly see lower prices on competing platforms at different times.

The only argument I can see that works in their favor is that steam is the first price people see in games that are multiplatform and that's because steam regularly has discounts which the platform defaults to the lowest priced platform on display when selling.

GOG regularly undercuts steam though so...shrug
