An idea for a game just occurred to me. It's a FPRPG shooter with a closed map, but an open world. The narrative explores this map, but every single NPC on the map has a name, a story, an origin and a function in the local and regional socio-economic structure. Stealth is an option for most (but not all) objectives in the game.

The game changes on a fundamental level depending on who you kill and why, with the culture so tightly knit - you can cut yourself off from completing a task entirely by alienating yourself with a group by effectively eliminating parts of that group which are technically your enemy in the main narrative.

Additionally, you can turn enemies to your side by dealing with problems, or force entire clans to collapse on themselves with internal conflict through subterfuge and extortion.

You'll never get a chance to end the narrative on your own and the trick to winning is successfully manipulating the people in such a way that they get the job done themselves. Creating a situation that results in the end of the narrative is a dime a dozen, any number of individuals that could potentially cut your game short.

Think Route 96 meets Far Cry 5.

They're basically taking old special episodes of sitcoms and slapping them around for being awkward trying to talk about certain topics, ignoring the fact these shows did this on purpose to make the subject matter safe for a family to talk about.

Safe in the sense that they weren't telling them how to feel, without ignoring the implications of the subject matter in how it impacts the characters of the show.
