It gives you slightly better graphics at 60 FPS than a regular PS5, it's definitely not necessary. The Switch 2 is gonna be a little monster of a console for cheaper than that, and you can get the stronk current gen Xbox for $500 or less. You can get the light current gen Xbox for $300 or less.
