For the rest of the people projecting, they can stop pretending they are owed anything. Trust is one thing, but forgiveness is a whole other.

There was one time a coworker at a grocery store was coughing because he was choking slightly and I had no idea. In the circumstance I had noticed he was coming out of the bathroom with cleaning equipment and I assumed it was just so bad in there he gagged, so I joked with him on it. I had no idea what the situation was and he wasn't vocal about anything, but from that point on he was completely uncivil.
Eventually learned where I went wrong from a mutual friend like a year later and went to apologize, but nothing changed. He continued to remain pissy.

Through all my situations of running into at least one person who gets randomly pissed with me I started to think it might just be their issue. If you can't talk to me and let me know where I went wrong so I can do better, then the problem lies with you.

Pretty much. An unwillingness to forgive is a choice.

It takes a lot for some things to be forgiven and I'm not holding it against people who don't forgive some things. There are things I wouldn't forgive. Things, I'd gladly carry with me to the grave, rather than let go in forgiveness.

This whole concept of cancel culture appropriates forgiveness as a virtue we ought not have and weaponizes some of the most basic human experiences - being wrong.

A victim who has lost that control was vulnerable and now sees vulnerability.

The transfer of power is closure.

The result is that there's not even a one-size-fits-some approach. They all have to be handled case-by-case.

As a weapon however, cancel culture by and large has no concern or interest in the victim or the culprit in most cases and use them both as props toward a larger cultural movement servicing the needs of often self appointed influencers perverting real problems into a currency of hatred.

The worst job is a toss-up between QA, and customer support.

QA is awful because it's a Catch .22 -- ifyou don't find things, then the game suffers post-launch and your department catches hell, and if when you do find things, you're running the risk of blowing the timeline (though it's not QA's fault, they're the lower-skilled workers overall and therefore easier to yell at and replace).

Customer support, for obvious reasons. 🤢

Actually, scratch that. Project manager/lead's worst job, because it's responsible for all of that but lacks the authority to fix most of it.

Basically, no part of gamemaking is fun except marketing, because marketing is purely detached from the profitmaking portion. Everyone knows they're expected to cost money.

And I think that's okay, it ended well and I'm happy to have uninstalled

It's a good game, and worth playing. I haven't experienced anything in the way of gamebreaking bugs, just the average annoyances we've come to expect and love from a typical day 1 release.

I think the biggest issue is that the AAAA price tag probably created bigger expectations than a AAA game is prepared to meet. This is solidly a AAA title though and definitely worth playing.

The open world is open enough, the play is GENERALLY engaging enough (though stealth-heavy, worth noting) and there's certainly ample things to do. Probably about 150h of total content, I'd estimate. Relatively short main quest (which can be confusingly structured at times -- just do everything it throws at you and you'll be fine)
