Up on that final area after beating the magic centipede of doom (Astel), lol. There's an evergaol up there with the leader of the Black Knives in it and if (this is a very big if, she's insane to fight) you beat her you get her daughter Tiche as an ash summon

Tiche, Mimic Tear, and Dung Eater are best ash summons

Idk if you've used regular Comet, but Night Comet is the same thing with a little extra damage and it's an invisible spell so enemies won't dodge or parry it

Doing only sorcery is a helluva experience. The only weapons I've touched are the Kriss dagger you get from Sellen's quest line, because it has Comet built into it and it's a a solid dagger in general, and the dagger you start with if you choose Astrologer as your starting class 😆

My melee "weapon" was the Carian Slicer spell for a while, til I got Adula. There's lots of "summon a magic sword to stab or swipe at things" spells tho, you'll never actually need a physical weapon

I dual wield staffs, an upgraded one to be my main and an off-hand one to boost certain spell types

i dont know if you've used it but I only had it at like +6 and it was doing 1300+ with its ability

its p good because the effect stays on the weapon

Best staff that will carry you all the way to Fire Giant is Meteorite Staff, and you can get it as soon as you get Torrent. Just haul ass to Caelid and grab it from some ruins by that magic town in the swamp, it has S tier Sorcery scaling and has 340+ Sorcery boost

You won't get anything with better scaling til you can use Renalla's staff, Regal Scepter

god i remember 3.5" flops, they were so dang annoying to use and store. and were fragile. a single dent in the metal cover or slight warp in the plastic and its done (and those were common occurances)
