Gameplay overall similar, but lots of people got amazed at BG3 due to the big production budget and all the fluff.

The story flow is also lacking in more clear options for approaches VS BG3. Things can branch out a tad bit more in baldur's and actions carrying and influencing the playthroughout.

It does get you a bit more immersed in the story. It's also a lot more beginner friendly i feel.

But being a long time Divinity fan, i still prefer its combat system.

I feel if Larian had been able to make this big budget game with the Divinity ruleset, it would have been freakin awesome

I don't think anything could be done to alleviate what made Arthur Morgan special. His ending was what made him special. You played a character that knew they were on their way out and you decided how that happened.

I thought once about if they would consider moving the series further forward chronologically.
Like imagine in the 1920s. But then it wouldn't start making much sense, eventually they could end up in the prohibition era, but that would just be like Mafia, not wild west anymore.

So i guess they have to move further back next
