I admit back in the day i got stuck for hours on a simple Myst puzzle due to missing a silly thing.
When i saw a walkthrough guide on a PC magazine it allowed me to continue and finish the game, i only read that part i was stuck on
my whole enjoyement was solving the stuff myself, but the guide allowed me keep going. would have probably never figured it out, or would have taken a few years to go back to try and rely on luck for not missing the little thing

The idea isn't to give the AI the game. It's to exploit the AI for generating narrative options. Ultimately creating a cohesive story of these options is not generated by a computer.

In eyes of many live service game is a source of infinite income. While a game sold once makes money once, a live service makes money over and over.
For shareholders and sales department it's a gold mine.
But those people dont realise that a game once made is once made. Live service requires continuous and active support.
That's how most of those games go to shit. Plan is to make infinite money and not to provide a quality product.

The problem isn't that's it's not relevant/has sequals, the problem is that they took away the freedom to play a game. I know many people who may go back to an older game for nostalgia, or because newer installments removed something they liked. And with micro transactions getting involved in some games, them shutting down basically throws all that cash people spent into a hole. I'm not against shutting down online for games, especially since many people have and will host private servers. The problem is that they took away our "license" to play, even in private servers and offline. and I believe this is a very dangerous thing for AAA companies to do. I'll stop here cause I really don't wanna start an argument, I just wanted to put my own two cents in and offer some food for thought.
