Flip maps so the floor is the ceiling, call on death summons that attack your target....Give your enemy your healthbar when it gets low

Some really interesting options for making combat more than just shooting

Also incidentally if you swap health bars with your enemy after your enemy casts a death summons on you, the summons follows the healthbar and attacks the enemy, too

It's the exact same grind for unlocking new Descendents as what Warframe does for unlocking Frames, but without easy ones you can unlock within a couple hours (Frost and Rhino, lol)
So basically a worse grind because they want you to buy new Descendents

Agreed, but the combat is much slower than warframe and areas are much smaller. Additionally, grouping is simpler, direct and matches are faster than I recall ever in warframe. I did a full series of missions with randoms who came and went, with their roles being replaced on the fly. It was super convenient.

More casual friendly

I like warframe, but I find the race to objectives in warframe offensively quick...and I understand why people would go that fast given the way the game is made, but it was nice to see people not racing to the finish line.

Further, on a battleground I was able to just drop in on someone elses mission chain and help them on the fly.

I think a part of it is related to the design of the game. They probably thought limiting characters would limit bots and hackers, and while long term....yeah probably, the immediate impact is going to be to the detriment of their launch

The game is free so bots were likely front of mind.
