I think if they wanted to go that route they should've added an additional roll in the turn based combat that governs how you respond to being hit and not just when its your turn.
So you have a turn, pick your attack and pick your defenses...so the game plays the defense part of the combat where its the enemies turn and you feel as if you have some measure of agency

tbh, i don't think you will find difficulty to be a problem in the single player (non-RDO) story mode
the only thing that may become difficult is when trying to chase some achievements (in game, not steam)

remember Dead-Eye mode basically does slow motion in RDR2, it becomes kinda OP
i think you can also do auto targetting specially if playing with controller.
But free aim is fine too

RDR2 is a diff experience than GTA 100%. GTA has a ton of the same world filled with atmosphere and npcs and making it feel alive but something in red dead just feels so much more connected. The sense of what life was like then in that era. Simple fact you could get mugged or killed or whatever back then and no one rly woulda knew. Vs gta u can do that but let’s be fair, modern days you’ll never get away with anything of those sorts like western days

I just tried out myth of empires.
I really like the mechanics, but the online element seems pretty dead.
At least the official ones
I went to a new server though, so that might have been why.

i will say it leaned way too hard into the "we need moneh" moments.
I did enjoy having to move camps, but the upgrades and no matter how MUCH you saved eventually didnt mean shit. there wasnt an alternate "buy your freedom" type ending for it, and as mentioned the upgrades are about all its for. couldve been alot cooler.
Also, i enjoyed when we met the pinkertons. i wish we couldve had a lil more action with them but being how they were fairly prominent in RDR1, they were fairly a "new thing" i assume in 2
