The way I think Stanfield can be a good measure and scares is not due to the concept, that's fine at heart, it's more the fact that all the things that have identity to a Bethesda game are completely absent. It's bland in story. There's no environmental storytelling that they used to do. Quest flow is at a basic level like a Ubisoft game.
All that money invested and millions of acres dialogue lines just wasted. Choices either don't matter, or it gives only the illusion of choice only to put you on rails. There's almost no roleplay possibilities either

If you told me they just published something developed by a diff studio that'd be fine. But this was literally touted as their next flagship game idk

When I'm playing a quest in Stanfield and I'm playing the HUD UI more than the game world... When I literally have arrows and popups telling me what to do every step of the way, that's how it makes me feel

I did the one-shot version of the DLC yesterday, it's pretty short and half of it is godawful platforming and Tomb Raider shit with insta-kill dart traps and saw traps. It doesn't even feel like it was made by the same people as Awakened King 💀
