Yep. When I lock the landing gear to the ground, they start up.
They don't provide a lot of power, but every little bit helps keep the batteries charged.

Well, it does have 10 small reactors, so the turbines help reduce the amount of uranium used.
I generally keep the reactors off unless the power is getting low, anyway.
