I don't know what stuff is. There is the illusion of orbits in ED, though, yes.

Upto and including a day night cycle

You have to adjust for orbits to land on planets

Overshoot and you gotta turn around

There's a slingshot effect if you approach an object too fast

So overshooting your landing will sling shot you beyond it

This exists in reality, too
