Not a fan of Starfield I think elite dangerous and NMS has set the bar for the space genre. Despite space just being the backdrop for starfield I still don’t think it comes up to standard with general RPG games either way it’s difficult to compare a idk 6/10 rpg game to a - imo - 10/10 sci-fi game. I personally just think No Man’s Sky tops it; Anyone else feel the same way?

Is Starfield worth it?
On the one hand it's essentially wish dot com No Man's Sky (even at NMS's worst you could traverse the entire planet)
On the other hand Bethesda rpgs usually have more NPC interaction. NMS has really wooden NPCs (other than a few questline NPCs of course). Not that it really needs super fleshed out NPCs.

I figure I'd enjoy starfield but I'm kinda butthurt there's not vehicles or planet traversal or any of the stuff that makes NMS systems feel open and explorable as opposed to a bunch of fast travel points. (Obviously inter-system travel is just fast travel but I mean come on it's hyperspace jumping that's not a fair critique)

The new All Ghillied Up is cool, there's a short stealth mission in the water that's tricky but cool, there's a new version of the AC-130 mission from the OG MW that's fun af, and the stealth mission in Mexico where you have to craft improvised shit and steal weapons is pretty badass. Also there's a prison break mission where you have to direct Ghost around the prison stealthily using cameras, it feels like Ghost Recon kinda

I use the unlit one because, obviously, the lights blind the car from the viewer.

But people've told me that they can't see shit without a lit one...not that I get it, because I've generally tried to make my cars visible-enough.

And I can't switch lights on/off in the menu (which means in the middle of taking a shot).

Because the camera modification that enables me to take pictures (because EA, being EA, locked the actual Photo Mode behind EA servers login) doesn't allow anything else.

It literally doesn't work with any other modification, because it uses dxd9.dll, which both RS and DXVK use.

I get better performance with DXVK, but...that disables the camera modification, and RS doesn't recognize it at all.

You can, they are stored on different tabs - I suppose just make sure when exporting an image make sure you don't overwrite another file (maybe add a, b, c, etc to the end of the file name)

There is a free plugin that has lots of features for batch projects of many images, I highly recommend if you want to edit lots of pics at once https://alessandrofrancesconi.it/projects/bimp/

It allows you to batch export to a different directory than the input images, to ensure no accidental overwrites

Alpha = transparency

You can use it to blend different layers and such

Some image types don't have an alpha channel once exported, such as .jpg

But you can still use it during editing

Alpha does NOT always mean transparency, but it usually does in computer graphics at least.

just to be clear when you encounter something where alpha is something else. Really its just a fourth data channel for whatever it needs to do, but with pictures, that's usually transparency 🙂
