My main concerns are, too many games to catch up on playing now, and their PC requirements and a 60 fps lock on pc. I had a 15 yearold system die last year and just paid for a new one, and I can't afford to upgrade parts yet.
I worry they didn't optimize it well, when I should be able to play anything new right now maxed out af 144 fps.

I still replay skyrim myself on ocassion. I get frustrated with fallout 4. I'm terrible with guns in games and I die a lot lol.

NMS is nice but lacks that story element I want, plus gets pretty dull after a bit. Once you've landed on a planet, you've seen the whole planet.
Andromeda was a trip, I loved how huge the worlds felt but didn't quite have that exploration incentive, plus its dead in the water with no continuation.

As for the space games, I definitely have a huge backlog/wishlist I won’t have time for this year. We won’t know how well made Starfield really is til we’re playing it, I suppose

Another couple things I really hate when it comes to NMS is how the story ended up, ||The whole 'its all just a simulation' thing is a gimmick I absolutely fucking hate, makes it feel like everything I've done has no impact at all.||, as well as the Expeditions mode. I already play 1 game with FOMO, I do not want another. People can say Expeditions last a long time and you've got plenty of time to get it done, but I'd argue that I should be able to play the game at my own pace and on my own time and still be able to get everything I want. Expeditions should just be permanent additions, not timed events.

That is definitely my issue with the story too, plus all the lore bits scattered throughout the universe. It doesn’t really make sense to me in the context of playing as a person in the world, I guess? Maybe I don’t know enough, but I prefer more tangible settings

One mod I did get to work right was a tower near the college you could live in with all the shrines setup. And at the top was a horn you could use to summon a random dragon when you needed the soul.

The one thing I got upset with in Skyrim, was a bug broke a major questline for me. And I did try and rollback the save, and fix it, and all kinds of things before I gave up, and started over after hundreds of hours of work and level 60.

I forgot they put a lot of work into faction storyline also. I ran the thieves guild in Skyrim on like 8 characters lol. And the dark brotherhood at least 6 times.

Apparently Starfields was a VERY daunting project to work on QA wise. The biggest project he has EVER been part of.

Im really not expecting nothing more then a Elite dangerous like experience for exploration. With the clear advantage of living worlds. Base building which is basic but fun, storyline on par with oblivion or skyrim, but spread out.

The part that excites me most is just getting lost, building space ships and enjoying the vast nothingness of space which is more realistic then NMS.

Oh and smuggling, ship boarding, housing.. ok..maybe Im hyped 😛

Oh yeah and the proc gen, I WANT to know how they got the planets to look the way they did with the engine they used.
