Many are genuine hazards, with poor maintenance, broken or unusable bathrooms, mold and moisture rotting everything. Last public school I set foot in, the walls were sweating and it smelled horrible. There was so little light and I felt sick just being there. Other problems like classroom trailers, having to buy supplies out of pocket, funding going anywhere but where it should, no AC as the summers get hotter.
I guess I’m generally referring to the overall health and atmosphere of these schools. Because the environment you learn in is really important, and kids spend most of their days in those places. They deserve to grow up in better.
