Damn everspace 2 is really fun

got a nice saturday night and this sunday to play a bunch and its systems are really well done at least for this early/mid game

none of the missions are long, random encounters are opt-in and are also very quick missions you can pull off for easy money, combat feel is satisfying which is saying a lot as I normally don't enjoy very shooting oriented games

levelling mechanics felt overwhelming the first few mins but after getting into it they're pretty tame, tutorial just dumps it all on you which is why I felt like that but the game curve lets you gently explore it

Oh, and not to mention it’s own modes and difficulties, such as lock down which forces you into one area each round, and headshots only… which is self explanatory

as someone with 3070 and 1440p minitor (that it should handle) most "current gen" games i struggle with to do with max fps monitor wise even with dlss cuz a lot of times it freaks out a bit.

fps cap is 144 on monitor

when stuff in my card range in returnal for example is recommended for it 1080p 60fps and some other games i plan to play say the same
