I dont think it is a good investment I think that for the concept of the game and the idea behind it is good but sadly with a lack of good updates and such a lot of people have left the game. Besides it isn't exactly the most fun game it's very grindy and if I'm being honest not a lot of fun quests. And the alien encounters are sub par they just added a capital ship that's part of the alien faction and a person I know said it was the most underwhelming update.

I think your best bet is looking at smaller indie space games or just waiting for Starfield like I am :)

Starfield looks to be shaping up to be one of the most ambitious games ever made def the most in recent years I would wait for reviews and not pre order

But it looks like it could be the best space game ever made in my opinion
