My simplest complaint about Far Cry 6 is how scruffy Dani is. There's no way to wash? I haven't found any. I've been around long enough that washing shouldn't be so alien....and damn know nobody has a sense of smell. A more complex complaint may have as much to do with how I'm playing it as the game itself. It feels way longer than it needs to be and I worry this works against it. There are enough side things to do, one might be forgiven spending a dozen or more hours just exploring the map, but the story itself has so far just been a slow drip of hot garbage.

There's a lot to be said for the entertaining characters and generally fun side tasks and tons of yaran stories. Far little to be said for the main story that seems to just be more busy work than compelling gameplay.

Hope to finish the game today.

Word to the wise: Once you get your first motorcycle, leave the main story and explore. The main story never really drives you to visit everywhere you can and many mission givers are region specific and won't announce their presence until you get near their region...and some never announce

Some of the greatest item-type rewards you can't even get in missions

You have to discover them

Super cars, awesome weapons, etc

Others are only available after you complete some region specific introductory mission like a region that introduces you to a new character

If you go to a region and are introduced to a character that is part of the main story, do their intro, then explore

I have 138 hrs in cyberpunk tho

and I only discovered half of it

The developers annoyingly put optional shit as part of the completion list

So you can not 100% the game unless you find all of the pokemon (as it were)

|| There's so much I could blabber about, but I'm overwhelming myself. There's a ton of lore/characters/story to take into consideration.

I know a lot of mage corruption is a result of the laws in several Thedas locations. A good chunk of those problematic mages wouldn't have been troublesome if they hadn't been backed into a corner by the societies they live in.

So I'm still hopeful for the idea of free mages. But there's so many other things that needs to get addressed first for that to safely happen.

I find the telltale series isn't scary. It's got its tense moments, but that's more because I get attached to certain characters.

Honestly I think that’s the draw for me, is characters I actually care about being put in danger and heightening the tension to keep them alive. Of course, I have to like the characters lol. I remember the horror aspect of what I played of season one was mainly in the implications of what we were forced to do in the dire circumstances, rather than the gore and scares. I don’t know if true scary horror like Alien Isolation would be something I’d enjoy (partially because I’m a major coward and probably wouldn’t progress out of fear). Have you played the Quarry? I like a couple of characters so far but others not so much

No to quarry. I asked earlier if TWD pulled bait and switch...and for the most part I can say no, but I can tell clearly that the game seems to both respond positively and negatively in terms of how it is tailoring itself to how you play.

That is to say, if the authors want to drum up an emotional response they will target characters you seem to like.

and spare ones you clearly do not

I don't know how on the rails the story is, but I do know some people just live and die with no clear rhyme or reason attached

I get the distinct impression there's a background psych meter taking score of every time I do something that Clementine might find questionable, too

Every time I do something there's a notice "Clementine will remember this!"

I suspect that the story is going to come to a head where all these memories become important considerations in a check system
