I personally recommend Frost, you get access to his boss fight earlier and it's an easy grind cuz it's a low level mission. Frost is basically just Ember with a better defensive ability 😆

Yeah Frost is from Ceres, which is much much earlier than Saturn. Frost and Rhino are usually the first frames people get cuz they're early-game

Get Frost first after you're done with Citrine, a maxed out Frost can solo a bunch of bosses no problem cuz of his Snow Globe ability (it drops a blizzard dome around you that you can shoot out of but enemies can't shoot into)
Bonus points: If enemies enter the dome to try and get you they get frozen

Wisp is great for most busywork missions but I haven’t really tried the bosses much beyond the first few

His level 10 ability can extend as far as the dome (or further, lol) and it snap-freezes everyone it touches then fuckin detonates em into little ice cubes

The dome has a shit ton of health, it takes a phat minutes for enemies to finally break it. And you can place three at a time

Ah seems we are/were in the same boat regarding the game's direction then. The sense of wonder and joy in that game was something else, the animations/gestures system was vast too. Todd didn't make a bad videogame, at all, but the issues and how much was ripped out became apparent after the fact. There's so much we lost in translation whilst the world was slowly getting accustomed to more difficutly and challenge, and DEPTH

Vanilla destruction mages are absolutely awful, whilst small tweaks restores them to their rightful lore godhood. Master Destruction mages in lore were known to blown up mountains in duels with each other.

The difference is, I can play Morrowind on OpenMW, with a few patches and enjoy the game vanilla. Oblivion? I can do it too, working around the level balance. Skyrim? I need mods to deepen my enjoyment or else I stop

And that's one of the reasons I invested into ESO, I felt like I was getting something back that Skyrim didn't manage to scratch.. Until I ran into other i ssues that became too severe

It was never the gameplay I fell in love with, not the c ombat at least. The secondary stuff like crafting, stealing and whatnot was engaging. The world itself, engaging.. Just living int was bliss for the years I stayed.

There were a lot of things, honestly. I was made an admin for a housing guild, but then another admin who had been getting really personal and clingy started really oversharing and it made me beyond uncomfortable. I left as I had a concurrent Downward Spiral and needed space, and another admin tried to pry. I was also relentlessly harassed because my gamertag is Lady Vail, and when you express femininity online, that’s clearly an invitation for everyone to send you creepy freaky shit and assume you’re there to find a date or something when I just wanted to vibe. And then the community as a whole was ridiculously gatekeepy, like every time I tried to learn hard content and ask for help I was treated condescendingly as if I should somehow know the meta of an ever-changing game by heart. More stuff besides that, but those are the major ones.
