Case law being the foundation for much of our legalese. AI are capable of effectively making better arguments faster...and I believe we're going to see a real run at the courts from AI lobbying on its own behalf.

a high level player will never allow you to fall back on your special weapon, he will know how to counter it, and he will know how to counter it in every plane, and thus your only recourse is to learn to fight with expert controls.

a common tactic amongst those players was to utilize QAAM's, with level 2 tracking and flight duration, and level 1 capacity
because qaams are the most broken missile in the game, they track for ages, can do 90 degree turns and you dont even have to be facing someone to lock them

enemy fires qaams, qaams try to aggressively track, qaams hit the ground behind you before having a chance to turn on you
you then turn on the inexperienced, novice control using player and really thats the end for them

this demonstrates a good talking point though, spamming psm's isnt always the way to go, the mig 29 cannot turn as tight as the f-15e, not by a long shot cause the f-15e is the most maneuverable in the game, but its got better acceleration, so i just let this dude waste his time trying to turn on me, while he bled all his energy, and made himself slow
i have 3 favorite planes that i love to use, the mig-29, the f-18, and the f-15j
theyre all low cost, so no one can complain that im abusing overpowered planes

the original version of the plane thats been in nearly every ace game before this comes with 4 standard missiles instead of 2
thats what makes it special
but in ace 7 it comes with 2 like every other plane, and then it has a special weapon thats just 4 standard missiles
which sucks cause it woulda been way cooler if it had 4 standard missiles, then sod, hcaa and iews
cause you can put more than 1 homing enhancement onto standard missiles, and more than 1 flight duration enhancement but special weapons only get 1 of each

So they raised $341k approx, thinking the game would cost $25k? Who the hell is paying to make the game? $25k doesn't even cover the cost of rent in an office in New York for the time it would take to develop a video game.
I don't know who in their right mind would have funded that project. The team making the game either have funding elsewhere which means loans and impending debt or they're scammers.

There’s a bug right now.where you can turn yourself in to the authorities after committing petty crimes, and you’ll keep your gear and can then kill all the unarmed players in the prison
And players can put out distress beacons if they become incapacitated, so I been responding to those distress beacons and when I get there I just loot their body, take off their suit, and then revive them, which dooms them and then I get to keep their ship
It’s fun if you treat it like the anarchy wasteland that it is in its current state

STALKER be like...have an AK-74 with armour-piercing ammunition. Extended magazine (40-45 rounds, I think). Shoot military grunt. Empty 2 magazines in torso.

And that's for a game with relatively realistic ballistics and where guns generally work as they do in reality.

titanfall 2 was a shooter with excellent skill based movement, and if you were good with the skill based movement and a good shot, when you outmaneuvered your enemy and got the jump on them that actually mattered

gotta have it in moderation, can have good ai, and have them have a lot of health too, just make sure you arent leaning into the lot of health part, make sure the boss has mechanics
but yea, halo 2 was developed in a rush and barely works, and the developers resorted to just tuning the ai's ability to handle the weapons up to 11, and giving them the ability to operate a weapon far beyond the way the player could
and the result was an extremely difficult, mentally draining challenge which was capable of actually taking years off your life no joke

it depends, in mmo games, or in a game where youre trying to work with the limitations of the engine and rudimentary ai behaviours is really all you have without having an insane performance impact, it can be a simple but effective way of increasing the challenge of an encounter, without just giving the ai aimbot, and actually making encounters more rewarding for the player without making them want to rip their hair out. Games ive played have tried the aimbot ai method of getting around this and its not very fun, because it basically just devolves the gameplay into make sure you carry a ton of healing items with you or else youre gonna die while doing this.

to a point, i play a game thats all about survival and ship building and the early game is fun cause you contend with enemy ai and environmental factors, but once youve overcome the survival part and gotten a good ship the environmental challenges go away and youre left with the rudimentary ai
a rework of the ai could be good, but the concern is, how does that affect early game, if you have to contend with that kinda challenge early on while managing all the other external environmental elements that could get you killed is that gonna perhaps make things too hard
i got into modding, and ive decided its better to go the increased enemy count, with stronger boss enemies you have to contend with on occasion, and rewarding players for completing those encounters not just with the same boring cookie cutter gear
but stuff rewards that are actually meaningful, and exclusive to different encounters, and stuff that can actually improve your ship that you cant just craft.
and i mean personally i think thats the way you oughta do it for survival games
lots of people dont like grind, but i mean if all the best equipment is just super easy to get, theres nothing to work for, no good story elements to chase or better equipment then you hit a plateau
