He's not blocking, he's deflecting (basically parrying) and doing it so fast it looks like he's blocking 😆
If you just try to block in that fight he's gonna break your Spirit Gauge (more or less your stamina) in one hit and dunk on you

The amount of skill it takes to deflect all of those attacks at that speed is wild. I can deflect 3/4 of that lightning spear "jab and sweep" combo but the last jab that dumps lightning on you is still too fast for me 😆
It's very much possible but hard af to pull off
I know he's not using a script cuz he panic-deflects at one point when he doesn't need to because that combo randomly has an extra move in it, very much human error 🤣

So instead of just an animated avatar or a still avatar, it's an avatar that responds to inputs.
IE: Shaking its head in a post that it's queued up for.

To me, the idea is to make yourself find a reason to push onward and dive deeper despite your fear of the unknown and the dangers. I absolutely loved the environment and just existing in it. Had some issues w it but if it’s on sale I’d definitely recommend it.

Oh, I totally get where you’re coming from. I think Subnautica and NMS are distinct enough in terms of survival aspects, though, and both seem quite removed from ARK and others. Like if you play on the survival setting of subnautica, you’ll have actual hunger and thirst meters, but I found most of the difficulty is pushing your comfort zone to where you need to go rather than the problem of having too much to do and see or too much management of your tech and whatnot. Idk if that’s helpful but I would say Subnautica is quite a different experience from the games you’ve mentioned, and worth playing

My primary issue with valheim is the way difficulty scales. With the world bosses being defeated tilting the difficulty of the entire raid system - It makes MP servers an absolute shit show.
I used to play on servers that the admin to combat this would create rules for: No hunting world boss X or Y or Z or whatever
So you end up getting soft locked

Mainly anything with rich worldbuilding and/or story! As of now I most often play dragon age, Mass Effect, Destiny 2, Elder Scrolls III-V and ESO. I also really enjoyed shorter experiences like What Remains of Edith Finch and The Quarry, havent played Life Is Strange but I really like those vibes too.
I guess I’m mostly looking for a bigger game to get obsessed with, but am open to pretty much anything that isn’t trash

Odyssey takes place before the other games, it's a good place to start
You choose between Alexios and Kassandra at the start of Odyssey, you don't design your character but there's tons of gear you'll find that look cool
AC games are always about certain characters in certain time periods, so you don't get to make your own
Kassandra is best choice btw, I love her voice actress 😌

Origins is like, half the map size of Odyssey. It's good if you just want test the waters a bit and see if you like the gameplay, cuz Odyssey has the same gameplay. Plus Origins is Egyptian mythology and has a helluva protagonist, he's easily one of my favorite Assassins 😌
