I'm lowkey liking the game so far, however, since I've played their original game 'The Forest', one of the main things which strikes me is the lack of variety. Especially enemy-wise, there aren't many mutants this time around, at least not very creepy ones.
I must say that companions are a great addition, they add more flavor to the game, and each companion has their own ups and downs.
All in all.. the story can be completed quickly but to get the actual feeling of exploration, playing with friends will be the way to go, in my opinion.

It's a good game, just not everyone's cup of tea.

I'm pretty sure ghosting is not appropriate in almost any sort of relationship. It would be one thing to say, "yeah we lost touch", but when in a relationship - Losing touch generally means that touch is being avoided or on such a low priority that it's not even missed.

The only time I can think ghosting is appropriate is literally when you're trying to get rid of someone that won't take no for an answer.

Socially, the whole concept of ghosting to me seems fucked up.

This reminded me of a convo I had once with someone on the disillusion of relationships and whether toxic relationships can become less over time or a language can be created to dilute the toxicity and build an understanding between people such that even people can have consideration and find their needs met when they are being toxic or if this dysfunction is just a broken piece of a larger machine that's still functionally better off together than alone.

Because I've dealt with people being toxic my whole life, I don't think people are toxic. Situations reveal toxic things they can do, and given the chance most people becoming aware of this toxicity and what its costing them, will learn from them and avoid that sort of conflict in the future. When asked why I put up with people who are being toxic, I'm floored by the assumption that there are people who do not have bad moments where they are themselves toxic in a relationship.

but it must be cast as they're reeling up the spell

There are a ton of situational combo and attack interactions

Using flippendo on a troll when it swings its club down (after dodging) will knock the weapon into his face and put him in a stunned state instantly

You don't need unforgivable abilities to curse enemies

Curse=damage bonus

I wonder if there are other situational combos for trolls that are stunned.

DX12 is mainly for newer GPUs to utilize additional performance, for newer GPUs, DX12 offers better performance than DX11

Vulkan on the other hand should be better in general for all GPUs. I'm not that into it, so not 100% sure. However I do believe them using Vulkan would have been a good idea.

Other games either haven't worked or are DX12 and haven't worked there either.
