I know oneā€™s a series and one isnā€™t, and I know they arenā€™t analogous, even when comparing individual games. But I feel like I can at least compare characters. (Even if thereā€™s more screentime/development associated with specific characters: I liked these characters to begin with and they got way better, versus I felt meh/outright disdain and then slightly better.)
on an individual game basis, I would certainly still say any of the Mass Effect trilogy beats Andromeda in terms of characters and storytelling.
