Or you can have tough skin on one trait and another that makes you prone to infection if you do get cut
The idea is you have to balance the good against the bad to zero out points
If you take a bad trait you get more pts for good traits
You can really go hardcore and take overweight or something...which technically while a really bad starting trait - If you survive long enough, you can actually lose that weight ingame, meaning you got the bonus points from it for nothing
and there are other negative traits you can kick from gameplay decisions
Like weak can be completely negated with exercise ingame
Any weapon skill traits can be earned with practice

My point is that so many companies have steered expansions into a rubbish bin that they'd be better used to promote the base game than actually expand on it and so it drives the entire industry into making free expansions as a gesture of good faith, but then the pendulum swings and free expansions become so normalized that they're being half assed and because they're free it's hard to complain, but it undermines the whole point of expanding a game...making a good expansion that's also priced well is not easy. Skyrim's expansions are not a standard in gaming...ignoring the fact the company re-released the same game nearly half a dozen times repackaging their expansions each time, the expansions for skyrim themselves were a solid upgrade

I know that they make my load lighter.
I also know that fighting BTs makes the BTs harder to fight over time.

Eso: fun game. Free play has a lot of small annoyances. Halved active quest limit and no access to crafting material storage prime among them. Free character storage upgrades are time gated.
Active abilities are customized, but limited to a handful plus ult equipped. They come from class, weapon, and some quests.
Abilities can be morphed to similar things with different properties.
IMO it leads to play feeling like it has less variety.
Chatacters are class locked, but each class can be modified to fit the usual trinity. Rerolls can be bought for a relatively low ingame cost.
Biggest note about eso:It is an MMO with an elder scrolls theme, not an elder scrolls game

This is interesting. I just went through the rain with an order and took no damage. I think having my package against my body instead of on the outside layer lowered the damage potential by a lot

I mean, if you think about it logically... You don't shoot female deer/bucks during mating season or in general unless it's a culling season. Male are more specialised because of size, pelt and in general common worth.

In the game you also can't completely wipe a heard but you can adjust how fast they reproduce, and remove low fitness males to encourage better offspring
I play this mostly because I'll more than likely never get to experience wilderness like this or wildlife

you can take out baddies in stealth in Death Stranding. You just have zero opportunity to do so if you leave stealth (ie - detected)
Even then, you can remain in stealth after detection and they miss you entirely...You just end up needing to take them all out again
For my purposes, I just shot them all when they came to wake up their buddies
Find it kind of weird though they don't seem to notice their unconscious buddies even when they're nearby unless you're detected.

Death Stranding in my experience so far is a game that takes a long while to sink into and it's a real drag to get to the point where it opens up more, but I'm seeing a lot more player created content and it feels a lot more community driven now

tbh I tried Unreal Engine, I find it to be a bit foreign for my skills, and I'm literally about to hit 9 years of experience with coding. I mainly use Unity which is capable of competing with UE, even though a lot of features readily available in Unreal Engine would need to be made from scratch; Unreal Engine 5.1 does have Nanite which is capable of rendering complex meshes very fast, but if I'm releasing a game instead of a movie it's very unpractical as I'd rather save storage space on a simpler mesh then add normal maps/bumpmapping/heightmapping instead of wasting unnecessary storage on optimizing an overly complex mesh. Unity vs Unreal is like Linux vs MacOS; one has more tools readily available, but they're both powerful enough to suit the needs of even the most advanced users

The only role I'd end up taking on in the process would be world building, but our chief programmer was always concerned with how limited to the backend unity was when we might want to do something different or fix a bug

I made this one level in build with sectors that weren't even part of the room they were in, creating spots on the map that you literally disappeared if you stood on them. It was awesome for creating hidden rooms
For a MP game, it was a particular challenge in combat
We programmed sectors to create audio effects and I hand programmed the volume of each sectors audio effect to create a volumetric effect to environmental sounds
So if you came up on a waterfall not only did you hear it, but it got louder as you approached and quieter as you went away

It is even less than most of those in build. The only part of the level that can be said to be 3D is the environment itself...the walls, floors and ceilings.
Even they're limited. In build you can't have bridges, for example.
That is, a bridge you can go under.

and the map is literally every sector has a floor, walls and a ceiling.
There are no sectors with two floors.
