Pharaoh then lost the duel when Rafael used guardian Eatos. He was about to get his soul stolen, but then Yugi used the millenium puzzle to let his own soul be stolen so the Pharaoh could still fight. I mean, you went through the whole game over car keys...and Razor withheld them from you.

OTOH, the Powershot bows are a PITA to actually pull back.
If you put handling coils, you lose damage. If you put damage, you're stuck with shitty handling.

I had more issues about Paradox's business model in the past but, barring some exceptions, if it supports the games long-term I'm fine with it.
I think Total War tries to do the same but it doesn't work as well.
Both franchises get a lot of free updates alongside the DLC so that's good too.

In Stellaris' case for example, the game's free updates get it up to par with the game you enjoy with the DLC (including some features that can be more fleshed out with DLC (i.e. espionage or federations). The DLC are actual honest additions to the existing gameplay (you could argue some of them are more meaningful than others, especially stuff like species packs).
But yes, the industry, generally, has more-or-less moved on to providing live service experiences for more profit. But you still get good games from bigger studios at times, or alternatively, many from indie studios.

It's like this...SA has you locked up in a few square miles, but the story and everything else...as I said, there's progression. You're small-time, in trouble with a cop, everything is down...you start with small, shit jobs and barely build yourself up with people you know...at least as the character. Then...once you're at a height, you get torn down and are left with nothing...no gang, no family, nothing...you're on your own with just your sister and her BF. And you have to survive. And that's when you realize how small the world you came from was and how big it actually is out there...and then SF and Vegas...
