When I played, there really weren't to many games of its kind. The story is amazing, the world is amazing, the combat was fun

It just occurred to me, Riot is in a very unique position. They have a globally hugely successful PVP game with LOL and if they want to marry PVP and RPG, they could easily reward playing one game with stuff for the other. A lot of PVPers get pissed off in PVE games end game because obv pvp is not the focus of a PVE game, but they already have a successful PVP game....

They could change a PVP players experience in LOL for having completed shit in Runeterra

and any time they need to drive up the PVP, add another item to the PVE game that rewards the PVP experience in the PVP game

They have a hella cool universe that more people are interested in now because of Arcane, they should make a third person RPG or something in it that has a broader reach than a friggin moba

Granted, and I don't disagree but nothing I said would suggest they'd be doing that.

My thought was that they'd be able to do both because of their seat of power

Big problem I see in PVE games that have PVP is the culture of the PVP in them. By creation of an opportunity that allows them to marry and divorce these two play styles and capitalizing on both as needed

Meanwhile, the only experience Ive had with a MMO was messing with Ashes of Creation, during a test my friend was doing.

Its such a odd game though, the way its being developed is incredibly insulated from pressure from investors

I'd say my favorite MMO experience was Elder Scrolls Online

especially liked how it did classes and builds, lots of flexibility

I don't know about experience. ESO has the best fleshed out single player experience of a MMORPG.

The guilds need work. The community while nice has too few tools to justify their existence when every single tool a guild of 100 can have, a guild of 2 can.

The number of people in the game with absolutely ridiculous names makes me cringe

Names like "I am not a bot"

or "Kills your mom"

The community events are garbage shitstorms from start to finish and often the developers lock community events behind DLC you'd need to sub or pay for

and that's not necessarily a bad thing but it does limit exposure

There's the whole buying content using ingame gold, but I've never been rich enough in the game to say that even works

I did the math. It's insane.

We're talking crown to gold ratios of 1500 to 1

Want to get a $20 DLC? (the last DLC released)...If you can convince someone to get it for you, that will cost you 3,000,000 gold

had good times in a chill guild with about 200 people, we had a weekly raid night that was a lot of fun

There's a system called Tamriel Trade Center...an addon that tracks trading on guild vendors from all users that utilize it...

It's exploited every single day to flip assets

I would be shocked if the developer hadn't not designed a backend to track deals for his friends
