So far the cool thing about Scarlet/Violet is the story

I'm not upset that there's no voice acting tbh, mainly because while there's a lot of laziness with how the game turned out, for some reason there's care put into the cutscenes and story.

But these graphics are like, purposefully bad.

They could've done way better, and it looks as if they put more effort into the starting area than the rest of the game.

Caves are incredibly bland, theres poor optimization and frame drops everywhere, and the northeast part of the map just looks awful.

In Life is Feudal, there were lets say any of the letters of the alphabet worth of resources to make a potion. Say 3 different herbs ABC for you. So you go out gathering and you get DEFGHIJKL herbs with no ABCs. You could trade those DEFGHIJKLs for ABCs with other players because to make the EXACT same potion, another player might need DEF or GHI or JKL

It made every herb valuable and encouraged trade

Cutting down trees, you got more wood from quality trees vs shit trees, so finding a quality tree meant less farming. Trees had a visual difference if they were higher quality, so it felt kind of like you were an arborist

They weren't so different that you would necessarily see it right away but they were different enough
