Ideally yes - it is best to play in the same alliance. While it mostly doesn't matter, because of one tamriel scaling, you will find some quests are still locked to your alliance. These include all the main story quests and guild quests (most of these are solo instanced, but some can be completed together).

So he can jump up, then jump through enemies

Sort of how batman blocks and retaliates, give situational animations that only trigger if mario is flying at an enemy from a specific position (ie facing left or upside down), which would trigger a through jump

Change it up by which enemy allows the through jump so two enemies may require different positioning and you have mario summersaulting through a group

Why would you headshot a deer with an arrow? A) That's cruel since they die slower assuming you can even get lucky and kill it and B) The head is the hardest bone in its body.
