But yea...since it's open world, there's some amount of boxes to tick. Not as many as AC, which I've heard people say is all about fetch quests.

Main challenge comes from combat and it's respective trials.

Killing X amount of enemies using a specific weapon, a specific way or under a time limit.

I had troubles with those, since (for normal people), I suck at the game.

In-universe they're tiny and absurdly maneuverable, with surprisingly good guns.
They also overwhelm their targets with numbers, which adds psychological stress to the issues of having to get them all. With guided munitions being absurdly rare and expensive, they're a tough enemy.
Doesn't help that they're usually launched by something with very big guns that's perfectly happy to blast distracted larger ships
