When I was talking to the developers in the alpha stages, the conversation was about making it so the villain character was more motivated to scaring and less to killing

Back then I was playing a game called Damned where you similarly play a monster against 4 survivors trying to escape

I thought they were going to make the villain more villanous, by making the objective of the survivors more involved, while making the villain harder to conjure, but it made the matches too long so people didn't play as much

Me, personally - I liked playing with my food.

The way they ended up designing the game made the survivors too strong for someone that doesn't aggressively just try and kill them...Which wasn't my sort of thing

In damned, you could haunt objects in a room, but you couldn't see the player survivor unless they turned on their flash light or made a lot of noise.

Because the game doesn't have waypoints, and fast travel is more of a subway system, the authors had to write out directions with landmarks and such
