yes it was added in the 3.3 update, check the ship upgrade seller in multiple space stations until you can find one who is selling the S class one - I'm using 3 of them (along with that B class blueprint) on my fighter and now I use only 10% fuel every jump

which one do you have? most of the fps drops are coming from certain ultra settings as they now have extra flairs in those settings that get turned off otherwise

Like, my main issue is that the UI for the game isn't tied to my headlook movement.
So, I have to keep using the right analog stick on my Touch Controller to keep moving the UI with my headlook position.
It's VERY annoying.
there isn't a mod for that but there is one that removes the "out of playspace" warning that pops up when you take one step

It's always kind of had the same level of stability. It needs an updated save file from Gamepass, and then you're still going to lose anything recent like companions or expeditions probably

This can not be done with NMSSE (Goatfungus, Steam only), but requires NomNom as said above. However, NomNom is not fully updated, so it may not work and you will be missing parts

When you find it in the NomNom export, that's the Microsoft UID. If you find it in the Goatfungus editor JSON, that's the Steam UID

In order to get a save, you need to be able to create a save, which in most game modes means you have to play a bit.

Those are the Steam values required, which in your case are still all Game Pass. Every single instance of the Microsoft UID, LID, USN and alike, will have to be replaced with the Steam equivalent. There are tons of them most likely

If there is nothing in PTK for the Game Pass version, you can likely leave it empty in the Steam version. If it says "XB" for PTK in Game Pass, you have to make it "ST" in PTK for the Steam version

@lime mesa Most of your save will transfer fine after making all the mentioned changes. There are a few things I can see issues with, which is mostly bases.
Yeah, LID and RID are not in the guide, but it seems to work without them
To properly transfer a base, it needs to be copied and re-uploaded to be done correctly, but it then also needs to be removed on the previous platform.
For the player all appears fine, but others may experience ghosting bases if uploaded on multiple platforms
Although with recent changes, ghosting may actually be actively prevented, due to griefing measurements
This could result in the original base being the only 'accepted' base
(unless properly deleted on the original platrom first)
It is tricky to say the least ... and doing this perfectly, may not be possible
I mean ... it can be done, but requires more work than described

I believe there used to be one but it stopped being updated so no longer works (someone may correct me), installing mods yourself is very simple though, just copy to No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS\MODS and delete the disablemods.txt file from the PCbanks folder, AMUMSS can do a lot of the work for you though

Has anyone come across a mod/method to tag multiple object? eg if I'm doing some copper mining would be nice to be able to tag multiple mines to go to one after another without having to look round and check which are the copper ones again, etc. etc.
I'm not aware of a method to have multiple locations tagged with scan events
since the scan events are essentially just a chain that goes one way

Well, res scaling and minimum graphics settings and fov is all you can really do about performance. There are also mods that remove particle effects, clouds shadows and other fancy stuff

Just nice that there is some concern (however much) for modding. Like when they left the GUIDs out and quickly put them back in. I've noticed on the mods that I do, that they keep making changes that allow for a lot more flexibility and better structure. Really the opposite of what I'm used to with HG. More used to them ripping the rug right out from under me.

Yes, you can add either, but might require doing so by editing the Raw JSON.
Alternatively and easier if not familiar with the Raw JSON, you can add any ship or Multi Tool in-game first, to then alter it through the normal options available

@atomic yarrow Modding MS Game Pass is not possible for all I know, because of security with the files and encryption. If modding would be 'allowed', it would use a designated location to do so, which is not the case

I can try to optimise the look of the refractions by making the refraction map a more regular pattern
but yeah I otherwise just lowered contrast on the roughness, diffuse, and alpha map
and that makes it smoother, scratches less visible and lower discolouration

also glass fucking breaks when you get too close to it

Hey! I was recommended to ask here how to get reshade working. I can't get the cursor unstuck from the middle of my screen to use the reshade menu! Tried everything, borderless/windowed, alt tabbing, changing resolution, disconnecting controller and restarting, etc

Will the save editor let me delete bases? I messed up and deleted the base computer from my freighter as adding it there didn't work properly but the game still things it's there and it's the one targeted for analysing base computer archives despite not existing :(

I actually tinted the crystal glass more blue but it's so low in transparency it's basically invisible

NMSSE can export and import bases so that can be helpful if you're ok with sharing files everyday

There is a mod for this, but it would actually only require editing the GCUSERSETTINGS.MXML file with a text editor of your preference. All you need to know is the reward value names used
just google nms modding tools and there should be a guide
they have fairly nice documentation

Make a copy of what you have, just in case there may still be something valuable in it. Then put that copy somewhere you can easily find it again. Then delete the original and run the game and load your main save. then quit and it should have a new file

@thin hornet This mod does not quite allow more than 6 companions at a time, but it can save them and import as well, so you can collect a whole bunch and only load any 6 that you want and have in the collection you made. Sort of like a backup/restore tool, but for companions, locations, ships, multitools, freighters.

vortex doesn't really do much for NMS except put the paks into the MODS folder
