Just start removing half your mods until it stops crashing, then you can add them back in. Start with the ones that edit Globals, if you know which those are

by exchanging the vector to npc ship and then letting the other player claim it
If you want to save edit it, you have to edit raw JSON, then under ShipOwnership, change the Filename to MODELS/COMMON/SPACECRAFT/FIGHTERS/FIGHTERCLASSICGOLD.SCENE.MBIN

So do you have to get a ship with 0x0 seed, and then replace that?
You could also just use the GShip Custom summoner and all of them will show as Golden Vectors if you don't have GShip Custom installed
"Official" way to trade ships would be neat. As well as proper trade screen for items rather than letting everyone in anomaly be your personal trash can

But the base range caps at 80 normally, so anything over that starts making adjacency bonuses crazy pretty quickly

Probably they are just repurposes of some existing tech type which causes them to group up

From what I know, nothing is known about it, and Phase 5-4 and Phase 5-5 arent even implemeted in the game yet and wont be until incredibly close to finishing community research. From my own code checking, only the rewards are avaliable.

Yes, Im pretty sure this is correct. Even if it is, its encrypted with their own custom font, meaning if it is possible to determine, we don't know. Even with it being their own font, we dont have enough custom-font to english to determine what they are. I've already deciphered some of the font characters to english, but not enough

To me these are two separate things, the font used in some of the textures and the decryption as a story element in Phase 5

Is there ANY way at all to do expeditions 1 again? Reddit mentioned it's server locked. Isn't there anything I can do on my end? I really just want to enjoy it on my own pace after being absent for so long. Feeling sad that I can't have cross save unlockables.
I don't really want to save edit the rewards in. I was really hoping to play through the expedition and unlock achievements/triggers/whatever in a timely pace
No way to play it again. It's essentially a season like this one. Seasons will come and go. Some good, some better, some worse. Every time a new experience so no matter what, there is always a chance for you to try one of them
Only legit way to acquire the golden vector would be to get one from a player
And the second option is to just mod the rewards for yourself
The rewards I could probably live without. As I'vev seen, you could treat them as early starts and cosmetics right?

So I've been a bit busy also waiting for some bug fixes to play season 1. Originally I saw it as two buns and I thought I would have some time but apparently I guess season 2 is out now. So is there any possibilities or chances I can play it anymore through modding?
I'm wondering if there's a way to bring back season 1 through modding or maybe downgrading my client back to one version? I'm not even sure if that would work.
It's not to unlock the rewards I missed I know I can add them through a file I believe on the client it's more like I wanted to just go through it and try each of the seasons I really derped up here.

Anyone know off-hand what blocks the use of signal boosters super early on? I save edited the blueprint in and crafted one, but the Locate button is perpetually grayed out. Currently in the starter ship repair phase, after hermetic seal repair step.
I'm doing a challenge where I ignore the starter ship (Radiant Pillar) and venture off into the wilderness instead.
Nav data shouldn't be required for the Signal Booster iirc, but maybe I goofed and forgot

Yeah, the basic Signal Booster locate function doesn't require nav data.

To be clear, I have nav data now and the button is still grayed out. (I was fairly sure before.)
So it's something related to the early missions, I'm guessing. One of the steps prior to acquiring the base computer blueprint (or that step).
I guess I'll return to the ship and complete it's repairs, so I can rule that out.
Ok it's the starship functions test step(s). Right after testing all three functions and landing, and just before answering the first incoming message, the Locate function became available.

the stats are saved as numbers and you can just copy or jack them up

then it's a vanilla issue and you should report it to HG's Zendesk
since generation data shouldn't be trasmitted, only player location data and sometimes seeds
generally, I'd recommend any issue happening to vanilla players to be reported to their Zendesk as well
Also with planet generation mods you and your friend will most likely walk through terrain or in the air to each other if both don't have the mod

okay i got the game files unpacked, and i've converted some 3d model files to EXMLs, but then what do i do with EXMLs? can I open them with some program? can I convert them into an STL or OBJ or something?
the MBIN compiler doesn't let me convert MBINs to anything besides EXMLs
or am i looking at the wrong files? i'm in the MODELS folder, and all i've found so far are a whole lot of MBINs

also make sure the descriptor is in the folder with the scene
if it still doesn't work then try decompiling the descriptor mbin into exml before importing

Yeah, probably intended. And well intentioned, for sure. There are at least a couple of other sound changes, including a subtle sound effect played when exiting build cam. (I forget if I mentioned that already.)

i had some visual mods 6 months ago that changed the appearance of the game that are no loner working, i update them through amumss and the game runs with them but they don't work like they used to

there isn't anything at the moment for new freighters, but there are a couple of mods that add some different ship designs
there's gship custom, wich allows you to put in some special seeds for the golden vector to change it do different things, and there's also ships of moar, which changes all shuttles into various different ship designs based on ships from other things (e.g. x-wings, flying cars, etc.)
i'm not sure if ships of moar still works though

Im trying to get GOATFUNGUS Save editor to work on PS4... I dont have NMS for PC so i cant make my own Save File
So any ones Savegame file would come in handy
Means you would be specifically looking for a Steam save file to use as an example, as NMSSE (Goatfungus) is Steam specific. For PS4 you'd be able to use NomNom which is compatible, but may not be quite up-to-date with Expeditions just yet

You'd need Save Wizard or Save Mounter to even get close to a JSON version. Then you'd have to 'unscramble' all the variable names used in the JSON, or stick with the initial ones (scrambled). There are still several differences between both either way. For example the use of UserIdentification. Lastly you'd need to convert it all back to PS4 format again to actually even work

@fluid zealot Yes, PSARC has pretty much not changed in years. I am using Modding Station as well, which has PSARC built in. No issues on my end
Modding Station has not changed in forever either 1.3.0
2.92 requires to disable importing recursively to get it to work. Also users will have to be patient, as it takes a while. Older Blender versions may work well with recursively enabled

Does anyone know what mission in the game files is related to derelict freighters? My game is bugged and it won't let me sell my crew manifests or captain's logs because the mission goes away as soon as I leave the derelict so I'm trying to see if I can edit some value to fix the mission. I looked through them all and wreck_rewards and freighter_dig seem like they're the ones related to the freighters but idk for sure if they're the derelicts or if they're the crashed freighters on a planet's surface
@echo kernel If you need to find a mission name (ID), make sure it is active then save and in the Raw JSON, you look for CurrentMissionID on the left side
I can't save while the lost in space mission is active since it disappears once I leave the derelict

Yes but when I go to the station there's no marker indicating that I can sell to either the merchant or the guild rep. When I interact with them there's also no option to sell either item
Not being able to sell, may indicate the derelict freighter was not completed
I completed a derelict in an uninhabited system earlier this year and sold one of the items to one of the merchants in an inhabited system. Since then I haven't been able to sell anything in any system and I don't want to load an earlier backup because Ive made alot of progress since then
I understand not wanting to start over, so lets not go there. I am not familiar with the derelict mission progress in the save files, but in general progressing a mission should work as described by me in a pinned post here. Make a backup and see if that is useful to you and possibly attempt increasing the MissionProgress value for the CurrentMission, or possibly check the PreviousMissionID if not able to save as such, but right after only?
Either will likely have an ID that comes close to describing what you are looking for.
You are sort of on your own with this one, unless someone else knows exactly what to change to fix this. I am however curious to know if you solve it and what was required to do so

The missions being named the same but changing on getting back to ship, yeah perhaps a small hint to the mission. Not sure how that helps either scrap or other to actually accept the stuff.
that lets me know that the second mission will probably stick around on a separate save so i can run through a derelict and get the name that way
the first mission works but the second disappears when i use the pulse drive and when i dock

They will hardly ever reply though, but still see the reports. Meanwhile, just give yourself a bunch of tainted or whatever else you should be getting?

I have no idea. Increasing value for MissionProgress basically forwards it a step. I am however not sure if that can be progressed to mean you have returned the items. Certainly will not result in giving you the exchange resources or reward, as you do not actually exchange items that way
It just keeps track of the state of the mission. If that helps you, I am doubtful

@echo kernel Happy to see you figured out the MissionID and managed to fix it. FYI, a value of -1 is used to reset a mission, so basically where it all starts at. Having changed it to 0 (plus 1, single step) was apparently enough to trigger completion. Good to know the MissionID for future reference.
yeah, i noticed the value changed to -1 after i completed the mission. im guessing 0 just updates the marker pointing you to the space station since it didnt update until after i went into pulse drive.

I did by the way notice how Expeditions mode saves now have an unusually high version value of 138277 while other game modes are still as pinned. So no longer does it follow the previously known rules. I will edit the pin to include this
