I wouldn't mind so much if the attachments onto the large variants let you use all the wing types added on
Like the explorer has these coo metal plates that mold to the sides or to the smaller ball looking wings. They could just increase those pieces to attach to the ends of the giant barrels.
At the moment I think you can only get the 4 wing, 4 nodes, 4 solar panels on the ends of them.
Might look a big ridiculous but think about those huge explorer wings added onto the end of the giant barrels.

Normally ships can only have the biggest tier of slots if they have certain parts in their design, which means all the "best" ships are similar. That mod presumably removes that restriction, so any ship could have the high slots.

Yeah sll designs could be any class already but they were locked into certain max-slot tiers, which is basically what I blew away
A LOT of people hate the huge sidebars on fighters (required part for max slots normally) and the huge smooth barrel shaped engines on explorers (required part for max slots normally) But people had to put up with it because thats the only way you get the best slots. I went ahead and fixed all that mess
But I think that may mean you get high-slot spawns a lot more regularly.
Not really, because I didnt bump all the ships to tirer 3, i merged the tiers, so to speak
For example T1 can have 15-38 slots, Tier 2 can have 15-38 slots, Tier 3 can have 15-38 slots
instead of 1 being 15-19 and 3 being 30-38
As I understood it, the chances of finding a high-tier one was tied to the economy somehow

Ok, but before, it would presumably roll a ship, check if it has the large-inventory things, and if so, roll a high-tier slot count... but it can put that slot count on anything now, so presumably the high slots counts appear more often now?
Its possible the math works out mildly in favor of high slots but I stood around on some trade stations to see how the spawns played out and there were no shortage of junk ships, lol
I didnt exactly run the calculus to find out if there's a 4% advantage or not 🙂
Gotta remember that those T3 spots are now capable of being trash ships too, so It goes both ways

If you or anyone have any suggestions on that it would be nice. I searched both NoMansSkyMods and NexusMods, but had no luck with my searches so far.

No, I'm saying you're probably not going to get an answer for more or less demanding someone answer you. These guys here create mods in their own time, they don't get paid for it. They create things to better the experience for themselves and choose to share that with the community.
They all learned how to do what they now know how to do.
A mutual respect goes a long way, getting borderline aggressive because someone is not answering you is really not the right approach in this instance.

When using the Save Editor, is it possible to upgrade an A or B class ship that doesn't have the best / most slots available to an S class with best slots?
and i guess same goes for capital ship / multi tool

personally i do it manually, its easy enough
just remember to remove the disablemods.txt file, create the mods folder, and check which files the different mods mess with in the mod descriptions to avoid conflicts

Well I mean, its a pretty old mod for me 😄 but back in the day, pushing more than 100u viewing range for grass would just break the graphics engine or something. in short, impossible, didn't even work, and crushed performance for all your trouble. So in part, you can definitely thank HG's optimizations for the possibility of a supercharged grassfix lol
Several people have mentioned using the Extreme GF4 with junky computers without losing meaningful performance so I decided to revisit that possibility

Hello! I just got NMS the other day, I was wondering if there are mods to increase the FOV and remove the annoying "holding e" to do actions thing? Will I be banned for using just those two mods?
Increase FOV can be done by editing the settings file.

@fluid wingtjat one is weird. See in the new online, there is a clock seed somewhere on the main servers instead of in your own save like before. It mathematically decides what time of day you should have derived from a central time code + your global day cycle duration. Normally this results in synced times but if you have altered cycle timing it completely throws that off

when i turn on my first mod (fast actions 1.1) for NMS (via vortex) if i start up NMS i get a warning that i can click through. when i try to start NMS in VR i am just in darkness, no amount of pressing appears to get me through. any tips?

Just a tip, i believe you can make a WHOLE base move fairly easily, by moving that base's base computer. You might make alevitated computer but it should move all the parts since they reference the computer as the anchoring point for every part placed in that base

@hushed bronze my experience with save editor as of beyond update leads me to believe it is a steaming buggy mess. Ever time I load a save file the console spits tons of exceptions, and some saves don't even load.

I havent found a green planet that doesnt have the grass sprites. I found yellow earthlike which is great because it doesnt has grass. The grass texture is already totally acceptable. The sprites are an excessive performance hit. There should be a slider for it or something.

I tried the game's ability to allocate grass hits a cap at around 120u range
it goes pretty far tho
starts cutting hard edges that can be seen because its maxing out whole regions, which kills the illusion created by the edge fade of the grass render
on mly planet it looks really amazing
that said its an improvement over the ground vanishing in NEXT if you went too hard lol

dude I have gsync on. I dono why you are briniging it up tho lol. It doesnt increase fps or anything. it just dynamically adjusts refresh rate to match your fps so you dont get tearing, at a low overhead

The other mod you showed me indicates that the game falls apart if you take a 6th mission. So, Im capping several modes at 5 instead of a global 10

is it possible with modding to add additional dialogue options that can be selected and initiate a desired item swap? The navigation data guy is insanely tedious. to convert nav data to planet charts is a 1 by 1 process in which the dialogue exits every time and you have to sit there it all over again. I've spent a solid hour converting nav data to planet charts.
I created a mod a back in next to adjust when the exosuit lady tells me about hazard protection, but I haven't really dived into it.

Yeah some but the way the game handes draw, your only option to TRULY kill that issue is a fog dense enough to block you from seeing to far too clearly lol
No matter how far you draw, the game will load in regions and unreliably and long ranges and you wont solve the "random appearing objects issue"

If so, the first one is several color mods and the second one has several QOL mods. The first one I made is called DUD'S SKY (the QOL one), so when I made my second set of mods (the color one) I named it DUD'S SKY - COLORS.

Alright. Lemme elaborate on what's going on, as I'm aware that some people are concerned about that. That's understandable.
So, I have a structure to how I work on things. As Sean once mentioned, it is a lot less difficult to create alien and wild planets - but to aim for something realistic, it is extremely difficult. Like, he mentioned that it is incredibly hard to create an earthlike tree.
Therefore, in those 'earth like' environments that I've showcased... I was merely practicing of doing my own take on in real life photography that I have taken, including various google images, with a bit of an alienish twist to it.
However, rest assured... there will be extremely alienish planets.

I used to have custom water, with custom tides and waves (an unreleased thing - not the released thing) - that required shader modding. Vulkan shader modding is still in experimentation.
In regard to when that was working, it was quite involved, yeah.
Lava generating heat the closer you get to it? I mean, that would likely fall under the category of a custom script event; in which would likely require hardcoded changes to the executable. But I suppose with creativity, one could do something similar

a biome that would be amazing would be one where gravity gets lowered depending on the spots you are, like the lightfissure planet, but just it reverses or nullifies gravity

Working with procedural generation can be extremely tedious and tricky. As Sean once mentioned, one subtle change can break the entire universe. Therefore, it takes a lot of time to test and make sure that what has been added meets a certain standard of consistency.
I am convinced that it is not ideal to announce a release date with procgen work until you are fully satisfied with it. The reason why HelloGames was able to announce release dates with their patches is because they had already finished what they were working on and had been play testing for awhile. The first time they did that, it got delayed.**

In the past, the overhaul had a lot of crashes and issues. However, most of that was due to human error. Making typos while being overtired and working on it.
Using a program prevents that

crashes are normal, they happen here and there, but most importantly you can learn from them
