@warped parrot I agree. But yeah lots of monitors and graphics cards can set the output to conform to the program's output ratio so it will adapt to whatever is running the show without manual intervention. Hope it works out for you

so the lockers have to be become modular to be able to have all 10 container inventories accessable, and probably have to go down the lane of the server stacks where you need to build a base for the containers and then snap the actual containers next to it
but at least it'll look good and tidy being snapped up and all
and I just gave up on making snapgroups cos I don't get paid for it

There have been quite a few patches since NEXT released, and one at least talked about improving clouds, so mods may possibly need to have been updated since. Not sure though.

Just created a mod that enables the Terrain Manipulator Recovery Mode. It's a neat little mode that allows you to undo any edit you made to the terrain and take it all the way back to the initial state. It's meant to help if you start reaching the regular base terrain edit limits.

Yes. Without the mod there is an undo last edit option in create mode but I haven't got it to work. This mod activates a whole other mode called recover. It even has the tip that says base come with a terrain edit limit and that recovery mode is to remove previous terrain edits.

Nope, can be used any where you edit the terrain. I have never reached the base limit of terrain edits so I don't know if it's something that would activate when you get near that limit.

Don't think so it only affects the terrain you have it aimed at, doesn't just undo every terrain move you did. If that's what you are asking.
That is a good question will have to investigate that.
From what I've been testing you can build and whatever terrain is moved by your object can be put back. It's a bit finicky as it works just like creating terrain around objects in that if you are too close it wont do anything but if you find a spot you can essentially bury everything you've created. I'm uploading some videos demonstrating the mechanic. Again, i haven't gone to far into base building so I'm not sure if this mechanic is something that is already in game but only available once you reach the base terrain edit limit
Kind of strange that they would limit it to only when you're approaching the limit, as it could be useful in all kinds of situations.

Dig up stuff on some planet? Now you can fill it in again and not use your edits for junk. Want to get rid of the cave you built? No problem..
Move or remodel your base, don't want big flat parts left over from where stuff was before? Can get rid of them now.
Really should just be another mode on the manipulator.

That is one thing I will have to look into. If there is a limit to that, for instance if I go back to an old base and clear it out will it allow me to go back to the original state. I don't see why as it has to keep track of those edits, right?
Obviously it does othe rwise it wouldn't know when you reached the limit in the first place.
I think there must be two different limitations...
Not sure how it works now, but before there was one overall edit limit (was 5000, increased to 15000), and a block limit (was 128, increased to 256)...
They may have separated the base terrain edits from the general ones somehow, or it may just check how many are in range of a base or something, to prevent it getting too complex and hurting performance or something.
It's is interesting but I'm glad I found this. Like you said it will help with all of the above until the implement something like this for real. I like the idea of being able to fill in the emergency holes I make when I've got nowhere to run from a storm, or like you said sometimes you want to undo something without having to use the create or mine and hope it gets it the way you like it.

Combat ships have the most rewarding Expedition prizes And the thing where they assault pirates. Also they have the best overall natural stats

There's an option when creating an invite to make it temporary Temporary members are automatically kicked when they disconnect unless a role has been assigned... Possibly the invite used to join by some people has that set? Presumably "disconnect" is close discord or become disconnected some other way. People who leave it always on won't notice any difference, and neither will those who have roles.

if you want me to just answer the questions next time I'll do it, but I want you to know that I made Intelligence Enhancer to do exactly that for me. It is only as condescending as it is informative in regards to modding in mp environments as the image posted in the mod page is the only existing documentation that describes modding behavior in mp. If there exist a text that I can refer people to so that they can find the answer and more in a click I don't see what where the problem lies

fyi if people want to keep track of developments wrt MBINCompiler, if you follow the top pinned post to the modding discord, and join, you can request a role called sentinels which I will ping every time I update MBINCompiler ๐ (as well as other updates to various things, but currently mbincompiler is the main thing it is used for...)
also, I spent a bit of time yesterday working on writing animation rotation data back to mbin, which hopefully means we will be able to do custom animations soon!! (not full character animations, just simple things for now, but full animations may be possible in the future if the work gets put in)

hey guys, iv been wanting to mod NMS for a while now, but had just a cople quick questions. mainly, how moddable is NMS right now? is it possible for full GUI over hauls and total rework of inventory and equipment systems?
i want to try and make a loot based RPG mod
which would be pretty extensive. is that doable yet? or do we need to wait for a mod kit?
There is no real mod creation support other than programs like mbincompiler and nmsdk, which were made by players from scratch. There is still progress there and some people manage to make some impressive stuff but in general, modding possibilities are limited.

As I understand it, HG is using the tables (like BASECOLOURPALETTES) to build either a 4,16, or 64 square grid of colors.
What I don't understand is the significance of the fact that there is a 4 square grid with more than 4 colors in it. What is happening with that? Because if 1/4 color choices consisting of 16 actual table entries that make that square has 14/16 of the same color and 2/16 of a different color, what is the logic?

oh yeah I had that exact same issue. Went away once I updated it. The old version conflicts with the newer versions of other mods
nexus is generally the better place to go imo, many modders prefer it due to better regulation wrt mods and it's more established

Hey all, just a heads up, with the upcoming update it's quite lijely that most if not all biome mods break/will be incompatible with 1.75. As with all updates we will be working real hard to get stuff fixes asap, but depending on when the update drops will depend on when I get time to fix mbincompiler to make much of this possible. As always, be patient and maybe just enjoy the game mod-less for a few days while we get everything fixed up :)

You can, but if the mod you're thinking about using modifies the terrain, then I wouldn't recommend you too, because when you arrive in the planet the game will download all the submitted data and display the objects for you. However since most if not all the submissions were made using the vanilla game, you might find misplaced objects with your current position.
