When HG doesn't tell us anything, we tend to make our own speculation. For example, there's been no news on the Switch release since February's Nintendo Direct, which is why people are still worrying whether the Switch version will perform well.

I appreciate the incredible work and passion of HG, but I find their lack of communication fairly frustrating when it comes to updates/new releases.

Our concerns are based on comparing the Switch to the PS4 which is a very bad comparison since both consoles run on different architectures. Still I know that Switch is not the most powerful device on earth but I do believe that you will get a playable game given the size and power of the Switch.
