its supposed to spawn the anomaly after 1 warp, then switch out their dialogue with mission related ones(this part is bugged) then after that you warp 16 times, getting a shown a glyph each time until you use a portal
which leads directly to the final interface
it repeats the initial 1 warp then spawn anomaly step endlessly
have to either save edit to skip that part of the mission or wait until patch

Plants wont grow when they're supposed to, animals won't breed and evolve when they were destined to.

The Sentinels are Mechanical Lifeforms; self-replicating, non-organic machines that are similar to the Korvax, another Mechanical Lifeform in No Man's Sky's Universe. Sentinels act as the workhorse machines of The Atlas and as universal police, policing the actions of those who reside within the universe.

I can confirm that the star seed outlines where all black holes are in the galaxy, I did not have this before, crafted the Seed and then I did. To confirm this I reloaded before crafting the Star Seed and the Black holes were not there. Once I crafted the Seed again, the black holes were back in the Galaxy Map.

I was 700,000 light years away from the galactic core and reached the atlas just following one story line which at no point directed me to reach the galactic core or even come close
Though I did notice a rather painful "bug" when I appeared in space sitting down as if I was supposed to be in a spaceship....and rather than being in a space ship I was in space taking extreme exosuit damage.
I healed the exosuit before dieing and the screen went white, teleporting me to the atlas

I like the way the story hints at how Atlas can't know what happens in its death. It pits the machine with the same limitations of all corporeal beings, regardless of how omnipresent and omnipotent it is. It exists in time and time governs it. Beyond that time, it can not exist. I get the impression 16 is not an arbitrary number in that formula.
Even being in multiple dimensions, its understanding of the universe is twisted by its lack of understanding the intimate relationship between time and space.
I wonder if the traveller is an Aeron.

When you go to center, all of your technology in your inventory slots breaks, but you only lose your base. So if you have multiple ships, you keep them, as well as your freighter.

Could someone help me with one of Artemis quests? The one after triangulating your position. It says that after learning words to calibrate the translator I have to visit the local species. But wherever I am, it always says that the quest is located in another system.

If you want to reach the centre, get navigation data, craft signal booster, find a Monolith, use the (for example gek relic) to find the portal, input first glyph as long as you ca, and you are about 6k ly. away from the centre.
But reaching the centre will not complete The Purge.

@hazy oxide If you are on PC, you can fix it with save editor (search from the internet). I wouldn't do it, but if you can't wait, you can fix The Purge with it. If you are on consoles, just wait for fix.

I'm trying to complete The Purge after getting lucky and spawning in another player's game about 10k ly from the center, but I'm super confused
Am I supposed to enter the core like you used to do in the release version, or am I looking for an Atlas Interface
Also, I heard people were unable to access their bases after spawning into the next galaxy, and I'd like to know if that's still the case (I have a base near a friend's)

During "The Purge", when the game tells you to go to the centre, after jumping through a black hole, Nada will contact you and ask you to enter the anomaly.
DO NOT speak with Nada in there! It will softlock your game and leave you with no way to exit dialogue and force you to restart.
I mean, this game's code isn't the most stable with how much it relies on procedural generation.
It's basically Spore but next to everything.
So any big update is bound to break a LOT within the game, and it's going to take a lot of fixing.

i went to it and tried to use it but nothing happened

it's currently bugged - you have to skip the "talk to nada and polo" section

- Set that value to 20
- Close JSON editor, save file
- Reload in-game.

@final canopy If you can't go any further and the quest keeps looping you will probably have to use the save editor to change the quest line progression. The Main quest line is really broken now after the NEXT update.

alright, so I finally finished the artemis questline, after trying to fix it for a week.
On the quest "The Purge" It's telling me that I need to reach the galactic centre. Occasionally, nada and polo would warp in, and I think they're supposed to take me to another galaxy.
well, they don't, so I just said 'fuck it' and went to my base a few thousand lightyears away from the centre
I got to the center, and to my avail, the quest doesn't change, still saying the same "advance towards the galactic core".
On a side note, i've already completed the atlas path, and I'm around 16 anomalies in as far as the "space anomalies" quest is concerned

You need to collect glyphs for the purge, which is currently broken. You don't really need to get to the center at all, you just need to warp to get there glyphs

check your log, there should be an anomaly mission there, sounds like you need to reach the milestone it needs, the 2m tech stuff is if you dont have the milestone for the next part yet. Atlas pass v3 is a reward from around 12-13th mission for the anomaly

The Purge questline is the final one for Artemis - there is currently no way to complete it without a Save Editor. Once you use a save editor it resets the quest to just the moment before you start your 16 jumps (normal jumps - not black hole).

so ive got some quest bugs, like my Atlas quest wont finish for one. I decided to just go to the core as one of the other main quests instructed. I got there and then all that happened was i got sent back to the edge of the universe... no quest update, no new events etc. Can anyone please confirm whether thats normal or tell me whether i should keep going or have any advice?

The main storyline is currently bugged with the purge, and does not progress properly, it is not supposed to send you to the actual center, but rather send you to talk to the nada and polo at the anomaly, and then warp 16 times., instead it resets to the beginning of the quest after summoning the anomaly
The atlas path is finished once you have put in the heart of the sun and all the black holes appear marked on the galaxy map, it tends to repeat this final part but it is finished at this point
