Apparently it permanently locks out out of getting the star seed, bug I managed to bug it out and get both.

So I just finished the expedition and I noticed I was not allowed to transfer the pet egg from the optional milestone 1. Did Hello Game full stop put a stop to transfer of pet eggs entirely? On PlayStation it's as simple as entering photo mode from the game's quick menu and clicking the snap photo button...no need to actually save the screenshot. You do have to get out of the ship on the specified biomes and they can have other descriptors as long as they meet the requirement...hot biome, cold biome, and a dead world.

Complete the expedition and when you are able to claim the runner from the final expo reward, claim it, keep it as the current in use ship when you change back to primary save you can bring the ship over to the save and claim the ship from the anomaly

I am yet to test if it works when the expedition has already been completed

But it worked for me when I did my first run of the expedition

all i ever see is the inside of the cockpit or the booty of the ship i'm flying; hello jamesons is likely never going to add new cockpits, and there's really only so much you can do on the ships side to make it unique from one to the next. so the big part of this game i like - ship hunting - is losing its charm and has left me more than a little jaded.

It didnt work .i finished the expedition and go back to main save. I spawned beside my main ship , i dont have starborn runner in my ship fleet. But i can redeem runner because i finished exp on other save

You can only reject it at the very end when you craft the heart of the sun and boop all those seeds in a circle.

Don't do what I did and reject it and then accept it.. cause it's bugged.
You'll get both paths activated and the mission log will derp up.

i was thinking about mentioning this! but i felt it improbable that HG would reference an (spoilers for dune P1) ||already dead character||. Leto as in the mother of Artemis and Apollo felt more feasible as most travellers name themselves after characters from ancient greek myth

Finished the expedition. The rewards feel so tacked on sometimes, the new ship had nothing to do with the story. They could have at least led us to a secret spot where the ship was, and told us that it was Leto's. The Echoes expedition last year actually felt really cohesive with the content and I had hoped that HG was wanting to move in this direction, but with Omega we've regressed again.

Also some other stuff when an expedition calls for it. Dunno if something else in the game has you interact with it.

Omega is a tutorial and targeted at new players who don’t even know how to use the nutrient processor. HG is experimenting with a new mechanics in the game, and they also want to have more customers. It is a long shot but this expediton is not meant for NMS, but LNF. Hello Games want to showcase their potential to new users, with the possible hidden agenda of attracting potential customers for a later date when they release LNF. On the surface NMS has also gained new players, as is apparent from the influx of new members in the server. There’s also the “next big update” for NMS in the near future, as proof there’s a particular thing in the save editor’s base building materials that we don’t have in game, but it has been hinted and speculated after the 2024 roadmap reveal trailer — Starship Race Initiator.
So, I think this is all a very big marketing move by HG.
